Realistically, this Kansas State team has the chance to make some noise in the Big 12 North. With key returning players, key recruits, and a top-notch (experienced) coaching staff I expect the Cats to go no worse than 7-5, but no better than 9-3.

Kansas State vs. UMASS
Bill Snyder Family StadiumA large crowd will be on hand to witness the return of a legend. Bill Snyder will guide the Cats to a fairly easy win over the UMASS Minutemen. Should be a very exciting and loud game. (WIN)
September 12th 2009
Kansas State @ Louisiana Lafayette
Cajun FieldThe Cats will go on the road for the first time in 2009 and take on the Ragin Cajuns of Louisiana Lafayette. The Cats had a tough time taking care of ULL last year in Manhattan, but with a better coached team, and a down ULL team, the Cats should come out with a win. (Win)
September 19th 2009
Kansas State @ UCLA
The Rose BowlKansas State will travel to the historic Rose Bowl to take on UCLA. This should be the Cats first true "test." Although not very talented UCLA will have a home field advantage, and should be a challenge for this Wildcat squad. Expect a lot of purple in the Rose Bowl as well though, and remember, under Snyder the Cats tend to play very well in the state of California. Should be a battle to the finish. (Toss Up)
September 26th 2009
Kansas State vs. Tennessee Tech
Bill Snyder Family StadiumThe Cats will return home after two road games to face Tennessee Tech. This game has the makings for a blowout. The Cats should easily embarrass the Golden Eagles. Could be another large crowd depending on the outcome of the UCLA game. (Win)
October 3rd 2009
Kansas State vs. Iowa State
Arrowhead Stadium (KC)The Wildcats and the Cyclones will play the first of two games in Arrowhead in 2009. Although the game is not in Manhattan, it should be a mostly purple crowd. Iowa State will be under the direction of a very unexperienced coaching staff and will be down from last year (if thats even possible). The Cats should walk away with this one and gain their first conference victory. (Win)
October 10th 2009
Kansas State @ Texas Tech
Jones AT&T StadiumHonestly, I don't see the Cats being able to win this one. In front of a rowdy Tech crowd, the Cats will most likely fall to the Red Raiders evening their Big 12 record at 1-1. (Loss)
October 17th 2009
Kansas State vs. Texas A&M
Bill Snyder Family StadiumBill Snyder and the Cats will return to Manhattan to play their first true Big 12 home game. The Texas A&M Aggies, who have been picked to finish last in the Big 12 South, will come into town most likely beaten down after probable losses to Arkansas and Oklahoma State, and fall to the Cats. (Win)
October 24th 2009
Kansas State vs. Colorado
Bill Snyder Family StadiumAfter a devastating one point loss to the Buffs in Boulder last year, the Cats will be out for revenge, and a sub-par Colorado team will have a rowdy BSFS to deal with. The Snyder led Cats should easily take care of Hawkins and the Buffs. (Win)
October 31st 2009
Kansas State @ Oklahoma
Oklahoma Memorial StadiumPlain and simple, this game could get ugly. I would like to say that K-State could upset the Sooners, not like it hasn't happened before

, but highly doubt it. This one could be over early. (Loss)
November 7th 2009
Kansas State vs. Kansas (107th Edition of The Sunflower Showdown)
Bill Snyder Family StadiumI'm gonna come right out and say it, I am excited for this game. I know the season hasn't even started and we don't really know what we have in a team, but after losing the last four out of five games to the Jayhawks; Bill Snyder, K-State players, and most of all K-State fans are ready to kick the crap out of ku again. Expect this game to be very intense, very loud, and very emotional. I would even be willing to say that this game could break the BSFS attendance record. Honestly I, like many other K-Staters, have a gut feeling the good guys will come out with a win, it'll be close but I expect K-State nation to show up and help guide the Cats to W. (Toss Up)
November 14th 2009
Kansas State vs. Missouri
Bill Snyder Family StadiumMissouri is down, but how down? No one really knows, yet. I think Missouri will expose its weaknesses in this game. I think a loud K-State fan-base could once again feed these Cats the energy they need. If the Cats beat ku the week before this should be a win. If not they may come in with their heads down and throw it away. I really don't know what to think about this one yet. (Toss Up)
November 21st 2009
Kansas State @ Nebraska
Nebraska Memorial StadiumNebraska will be good, maybe to good for K-State to beat in Lincoln. Nebraska has been picked to win the Big 12 North by many publications. Honestly I think the Cats will lose, but don't expect Snyder to go down without a fight against the Huskers. (Loss)

This will definitely be a re-building year. Coach Snyder has a lot to clean up from the mess that Prince left behind. I realize these are early predictions, but this team really has a chance at being decent and taking Kansas State back to a bowl game. A lot of this season hinges on the fan support. The amazing response to John Curries new ticket packages have sold a lot of tickets to the UMASS game, and the ku game will obviously be a sell out. But us fans and students need to fill Bill Snyder Family Stadium every home game and be loud. I've talked to several football players, current and past, and you would be surprised at how much they say the crowd helps them. Back in Snyders first reign, almost no one could beat us at home because it was so intimidating. So lets get the fan support back to where it was. Ticket prices are down this year so get out and support the Cats! The buzz around campus is awesome and all the students are excited for football season to get here. Everyone I've talked to has tickets this year so expect the student section to be full and rockin' every Saturday.
Like I said earlier, yes, this team will be young and inexperienced but give them a chance. Look at the stats and you will see what I see. It surprising what a new coaching staff can do. The talent was there last year and the year before, we just didn't have a coaching staff that knew how to coach. If everything goes good, expect an 8-4 or 7-5 record. If everything goes great expect 9-3. If everything falls apart expect 6-6 or worse. Like I said I am a K-State student, and a huge K-State fan who knows what he's talking about when it comes to K-State Athletics. If you question anything I've said in this post respond to it and I'll explain myself. Also throw in your predictions!
In these next 45 days before the second Snyder Era begins, order your tickets, get pumped and be in Bill Snyder Family Stadium to see the Cats dismantle UMASS on September 5th! Go State!
