LSOC - yeah sure you "bros" can rush!  But as for the beer, I'm not of age yet.  I'm sure one of my bras will be glad to hook us up!

All I have to do is ask and BOOM case of stones just like that.

OMFG.  This is awesome.

Just to let you know, RD will likely be one of the guys in your house who can drink the most.  He can drink a ton of beers.  Will probably be like the house party animal.

what fraternities are best at ksu? or should i stick with dorms?

plz post any crazy stories as well, tia

If you do join a frat here are some terms you should familarize yourself with

Bro, Brosef, Broehama,Broski, Bra, Braski, frat castle, frat daddy, FratTastic, Frat Potato, Fratmosphere, Shacker, PermaShacker, Shacker Gear, Top Siders, Polo, Cargoless shorts, Walk of shame.

If you have any other question I would visit www.frattinghard.com

The craziest frat story I have is that one time we had like 3 mikes hard lemonades then went to the library! Tim(we call him Timski) was really feeling it and ended up walking up to a group of HOT chicks studying for an accounting quiz. He ended up puking in the middle of their table!!!!

I think my grandpa killed somebody once, but he never liked to talk about Kent State.

A lot of the advice in this thread is good. At least check some frats out and see what they have to offer, if you don't think you belong then you should live in the dorms - it's a good way to meet people as well. I lived in the dorms my freshman year and then joined a frat (probably can't guess which one  8-) ) I don't regret a thing. But I know several people that I consider good friends that never even thought about going frat, and they're having a great time too.

Bottom line: We don't think we're better than anyone else, we can get along with anyone.  The people that call frat guys douche bags for not accepting anyone else are not better than the frat guys themselves for judging us. Let that sink in, you GDI bastards.

here's the thing.  The only way you should join a frat is to suckle off the opportunities and tell every one to f off most of the time.  Will follow a bubble arc just like a good stock.  You come in, you act cool and unconcerned, you do some crazy stuff, you tell everyone to f off, you skip a bunch of "mandatory" house activities, you abuse house privileges, you go unseen at your gf's house for days on end, you start smoking in the house, you never clean your room.  Then bad stuff starts happening because everyone views you as an a-hole.  Then you leave, then people do that "hey I wonder what that crazy guy is doing now?"  then you are all like "married, job, elite."  Blows there tractor warming minds.

Find an unhoused fraternity--they tend to be tighter bonded because they have to be to stay together.  Stay in dorms, then apartments.

Advantages: No house rules, parties are not regulated by Greek authoritarianism (big plus), 2 groups of friends.  Always have someone who will let you crash.

Maybe.  Imo strange tail is best acquired by the freshmen girls that are just now experiencing freedom.  Especially ones with daddy issues.  These are in heavy quantity in the co-ed dorms and found more often at house parties than frat parties.  They have less mileage and are therefore less likely to have some funky disease.

make a mad dash for someone respectable your Sr. year.
Huge QFT here.  Lock one up by the time you graduate.  You'll never have options as good as the ones available while in college.  If you decide to wait til you're say, 30, you're going to get stuck with girls that have a lot of baggage.  The ones worth taking will have all been taken by that point.

not kidding.  The earlier you snag them the better the odds they will be kind of dumb and very desparate.  They won't want a career and won't know any better.

Unless you can confirm via 2 sources that her family is rich.  This is a solid way to go if she is decent looking and not a complete pain in the ass IMO.

not sure you could have done anything to prevent it. your frat is widely regarded as the worst on campus.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
