800 people in town. graduated with 42 peeps.

So, a full 5.25% of your town's population was in your graduating class?  Is it one of those children of the corn towns where everyone is killed when they turn 25 or something?

most of the peeps live outside of the city limits (on farms).
It's not how you play it's the final score...

You have to be creative.  Gather a large amount of hedge balls into the back of a pickup.  Drive the country side chucking them at mailboxes.  Keep score.

Also, go on a fishing trip.  Catch of bunch of small fish.  Drive the country side putting small fish in mailboxes.

Had 5 friends who ended up in jail for the hedge apple game!  Had to do community service and attend a citizenship class.  They also used bats.

Yeah, I know some guys that got in pretty big trouble for that.  They also shot a guy and drug his dead corpse behind their truck.

I went to HS with a professional Yo-Yo'r.  Made about 50k/yr.  He had lots of nice cars and let other people drive them.

Salina (45,000) doesn't really count as "small (or not THAT small)" or "western" but, w/e.

Ron, did we got to 8th grade together?  My stats are very similar but I think my hometown was 270 or something like that.

Anyway... A lot of the kids were in FFA and 4H.  I drank, played ball, and tried nailing the same 5 or so girls for 18 years.  Lots of country cruising, mailbox baseball, car wrecks, firearms, and drinking.

My town is about 30 miles south of I-70 near the turnpike.  I bet we did the same girls.  :yuck:

yup. 5th and 6th grade. "lunch" was the highlight of the trips.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Silver Lake ?

I love the smell of peat in the evening.  That smell, you know that earthy smell...  Smells like...whisky !

Love Silver Lake, LOVE it.  I take 24 specifically so I can drive through the town.

My favorite part is these 2 houses right next to each right outside the SLHS football field.  One has a ku mailbox, the other's is EMAW'd up.  I like to think they're huge rivals and pull all sorts of pranks on eachother (i.e. EMAW let's his dog crap in the ku guy's yard etc.).

interesting point, exchange students. my HS had so many problems they actually quit accepting them. they were really nerdy social outcasts, huge drunks/druggies &@#% ups, or huge skanks. was this just my lil HS or pretty much the standard for exchange students???
