I should have a job as a headline writer.  JMart writes a nice little piece and the headlines he gets are: "K-State case seems bound for minutiae" and "K-State assistant attorney reserves company name similar to one in so-called “secret” agreement" 

I got news for ya: the company name wasn't "similar" it was EXACT.

And it was completely unnecessary.

To give it a football metaphor: The Ron Prince team was in the red zone looking to score and the KSU defense led by PaKSUtelis sacked Bob Krause, his QB, for a 10 yard loss with the lawsuit.  Then, after the play was blown dead, Prince picked up the ball and was suddenly and unexpectedly knocked comatose by PaKSUtelis. 

Unfortunately for Ron, there are no 15 yard penalties for unnecessary roughness in the legal system.

Ron will never see a dime of that money.

Pete is a hardass too.  And this is a VERY public case with plenty of public injustice.  I can't imagine that there will be any settlement unless Schulz calls off the dogs...and Pete will do everything he can to convince him not to.

Personally, I prefer a Vic Koenning style of "bend but don't break" defense and I would have waited till 2015 and then stiffed Ron and waited for him to sue.  A lot of things could change by then.  We are showing our hand too early.

I had Organic Chem from Dr. PaKSUtelis back in '70.  He was a good guy----I liked him.  He was originally from Lithuania.  I thought he did a good job of making Org. Chem interesting.  I would assume by the same names that he may be the father of Attorney PaKSUtelis named in the article.   Good KSU family.
