Mine would be the combo of Tubbs/Switzer.  Still absolutely love those two d00ds.  Who do you look upon fondly from the past?  Also, feel free to use this as most hated from the past thread as well.

Mike Gottfried when he was at ku made Larry Brown look like a puritan from a drinking, skirt chasing standpoint . . . and the Brown/Gottfried eras at ku did overlap.

Abe Lemons and Darrel Royal were very quotable . . . Abe Lemons was hilarious.

What part of non-EMAW do you not understand?

Also, for everyone, this doesn't have to be a combo or anything.  Can be a single coach or whatever.  Mine was just a combo.

Oh, I get it now, so my non-EMAW would have to be Asbury then.   :peek:

Raise your hand if you have an autographed Eustachy (sp?) beer can.  My brother does, and partying with Larry E. was abso-freaking-lutley hilarious.  That guy =  8-)

Non B12/8

Growing up in The 'Cuse, I have a huge love for Boeheim.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Pretty much the whole cast of coaches in the movie Blue Chips I liked. Pitino, Knight, Boeheim, Tarkanian. probably a couple others I can't think of.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Jackasses both of them.  Good era for coaches, though.  I doubt there was ever a better top-to-bottom line-up of coaches in this conference than ~ 1987: Lon Kruger, Larry Brown, Billy Tubbs, Johnny Orr, Danny Nee, Leonard Hamilton, Norm Stewart and whoever coached at CU.

There were some big names together just a few years ago (Roy Williams, Eddie Sutton, Bobby Knight, Rick Barnes, um, Calvin Samson) but then you get into middling or lightweights like Quin Snyder, Wooly, Barry Collier, Ricardo Patton, Melvin Watkins...  Some pretty automatic wins there.

think how weak it would make me look if i were "everyone, but steve dave, who liked tubbs is a dumbass".  it'd be a feeding frenzy.

And Nee was one of the best coaches in Nebrasketball history.  Seriously.

Plus, he was a recruiting fool.  NU will probably never bring in the talent Nee had.  At least not with guys like Doc/Collier at the helm.

leach is probably my #1. love that guy. would be willing to cut off a multiple fingers/toes if he would come coach here for like 10 years.
