I will say this; I do think there are fundamental things that Prince let go that Snyder will improve drastically. Its obvious Prince tried an approach that was much looser, had some serious issues with his schemes, and failed to recruit at a high level. That's just a horrible combination; perhaps if he had been able to recruit at a high, high level he might have had more success, but that simply wasn't the case. And that set back the program a ton, especially for the type of program we have to be, and that must be fixed first.
Now, I think the ultimate key to Snyder's success will be the recruiting part, but I do trust that he will at least fix the other 2 major deficiencies that Prince had. Granted, Snyder has pretty much prove in today's college football (his final 2 seasons) that just those 2 things won't carry enough weight if you don't recruit. So we will see.
And if this doesn't work my hope is this; 1st that Snyder will at least leave a solid enough foundation that will allow for a great chance for a new competent coach to succeed. I mean this is certainly positive spin; look at what Prince was able to achieve with what Snyder left him fairly quickly. And also look how quickly things can slip if some of the major things Snyder emphasizes aren't maintained at a school like K-State, especially if you don't recruit.
2nd Snyder's replacement will be a huge test for the new president and whoever we hire as AD. Whatever he does, Snyder probalby won't be here past 6-7 years at the most. So whatever the case, we'll have at least that to look forward to, if you can look forward to such things.
