I don't care who gets it either way....but I feel the lawsuit won't make it very far in federal court. Their argument is not based on statistical data which proves that the NBAF facility would be cheaper to run and would produce more cutting edge research in Texas rather than in Manhattan. Their lawsuit is based on the concept that our politicians had an "in" with the NBAF.  You can't prove or disprove that is part of the selection process.

if they can find proof that Manhattan took steps, or had a part in any process or activity that was not allowed to the other site candidates in Texas, North Carolina, Pittsburgh...etc....then they have a case. Good luck Texas.

yeah, did anyone actually read the document? it was hilariously absurd. they made like 250 bullet points of why it shouldn't be in manhattan, and around 50 of them had to do w/tornadoes.

In a scenario where Kansas's bid is overturned for the Texas bid...then that will be more of a statement of "irregularities" in the bidding process vs. the three year process all of the states particpated in to begin with. What Judge is going to rule against Kstate? It is the most logical choice.

Yeah they were talking about this a long time ago. Mr. Texas said he fully planned on suing if Manhattan did indeed get the selection. The ultimate scenario would be Texas going ahead and winning (through p'tics) and then some ridiculous disease getting released.<lols God forbid it be FMD and Texas' cattle industry gets destroyed. It doesn't matter WHERE it would happen... A disease release would decimate livestock industries and overload human health care-giving capacities no matter what.
