Ghost of Stan Parrish = elite.
Had a great time in NYC, other than the fact that the lady and I sat on a Delta flight from LGA to MCI for an hour and a half because the pilot didn't have the proper 'paperwork'. But that's for another day.
What a great city. Arrived on Thursday about noon and we walked around town the whole day. Had dinner at Big John's Pizzeria off Bleecker. Not great, not bad. I was expecting more out of NYC pizza. Lunch was at the Carnegie deli. Sandwiches the size of Deon Murphy's head.

Had beers at the Chelsea Brewery on Thursday night. Great view of the Hudson looking across. Thursday was the only day we saw any celebs. Saw Alicia Silverstone, Donovan McNabb (

) , Beyonce, and Michael Strahan.
Did the whole Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island deal on Friday. That was OK. I guess we had to do it if we were there. Walked around the WTC area and had breakfast at Cafe Ferrera in Little Italy. GSP, your advice on the transportation to River Cafe was absolutely top notch. Such a great view of Manhattan at night. River Cafe was great, but awfully expensive

. Went to the Bubble Lounge in Tribeca after for some drinks. Great bar.
Empire State Building on Saturday morning. Not normally scared of heights, but for some reason I got a little

up there. Shopped and had drinks at Sardi's before going to the Phantom of the Opera. Not a big theater guy, but the show was great. Walked back to the hotel from there. WTF are thousands of people doing walking the streets at 2 am? People of all ages, too. I was amazed.
Did the other sight seeing stuff too on Sunday before leaving. Good times were had by all. Quick, ask me questions so I can answer about NYC since I'm an expert now!!
