It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Weak against the run, needs to strengthen his lower body, tends to over-pursue.  Not good traits in a DE.  Maybe a high school kid, cause you have more time to work on these issues, but I want whatever juco kids we sign to be ready to play immediately.

A post by one of the GPC writers is an interview with Tre Walker. In the interview he insinuated that there is a big recruit at Olathe North changing to KSU. This is what he said about it

"I'd give you guys a golden nugget right now! I'd have you guys rolling backwards about this for K-State you'd be so excited. But I can't say... can't say right now."-Walker

I would think he is talking about Lucas Vincent but who knows.

I would be very happy about that.  Nice offer list on that guy.  Mizzou, uk, KSU, Nubb, SDSU, Wisky.  Plus, maybe that kid and Tre can help lure Dominique Jones our way.

Yeah, he's gone.  Unfortunate, we really need a playmaker at QB.  We've got good talent at the other skill positions on offense, but not the most important one.

Outside of Thomas, where else do we have talent at the skill positions? I like Lamark, but he's not exactly completely proven.

At wide receiver we have Brod Smith, possibly Chris Harper, Lamark Brown, all emawzing athletes.  Backups are Attrail Snipes, Aubrey Quarles, possibly Colin Klein.
At fullback Braden is the best we've had in a very, very long time.  Has been very productive, even as a freshman.
RB we have an NFL caliber back in Thomas.
Offensive line above average.  They improved a lot this year.

It's not DoD talent, but it's pretty good none the less.  Some NFL players in there to be sure.  Just needs a playmaker at quarterback to make it truly dangerous.

Couple of things. Snipes is a Senior and our O-Line will definitely be way better than just above average.

Quarles? I thought he died.

Forgot about some of those guys, but they're still unproven.  Though with Thomas they don't have to be All-American.  That said, it would be nice to have a good QB.
Maybe Snyder should just go triple option with DT, Harper, and Lamur.

Forgot that Snipes was a Sr.  My bad.  Still, pretty good talent at skill positions, and a good offensive line.

We just need a friggin quarterback.

Considering that Prince didn't use a fullback, the last FBs we had were Victor Mann and Ayo Saba.  On the same squad.  (05-06)  So no, Wilson is not the best fullback we've had in a "very, very long time."  Kids pretty solid (especially for a freshman) and I expect him to be a nice player for us, but that statement was a little silly.

i have no idea. but i wish he wouldve came to the KSU vs uk game. The atmosphere at that game was incredible, havent been at a game where it was packed, and easily one of the loudest ive been to. Im sure he would of fell in love with manhattan then. But I dont see why? like, MSU is what? 5-7?? and they r garbage to lol.. so whats the point of going to the SEC to one of the worst SEC teams? Why not come to the Big 12, join kstate, push them over the edge and win the north, and win the big 12 title next year? Alot more to work with here at kstate than MSU. But w/e

Im not going to argue with Kstatefreak or whatever your name is but Coach Mullen is building a program that much like KSU was hurt by a coach that was in over his head (Croom) for five years plus before that Jackie Sherrill's last three years were a total diaster and he left the program on probation. So yeah we have a ways to go. If Newton comes here though every game is on TV as part of the SEC-ESPN agreement so it will be great exposure for him Plus he knows Mullen because he already played for him at Florida.

Some new news is that Cam's dad told our beat writer that Cam is going to visit Oklahoma after the Juco National Title game so that does scare me. He said he may still visit UT and KSU as well but is not sure if they will have time because he will have a press conference in Atlanta on Dec. 15 making his decision. So we will shall see. If we don't get him Id rather that you guys him over OK and Tennessee.

Sounds about right. I'm stunned Stoops hasn't murdered Landry Jones already.

Newton seems very different than every other QB Stoops has had @ OU.  I don't see Cam beating out Landry next year.  Wrong system for Cam and Jones has had a long time to learn the playbook.  Yeah, Landry has looked pretty bad several times this year, but he's also looked pretty damn impressive several times and he's had an assload of injuries to his supporting cast.  I can't imagine that Stoops would have not brought in some other stud off the bench if he didn't truly think Landry was his guy for the next few years.  Watch Jones come out the next 2 years and look like a damn AA.

OU does have another prep AA QB on the bench, plus they're bringing in Bell at semester.

I would say much less than that.  Our only hope at this point is that he gets in trouble with the law again and these other teams stupidly back off him.

If I were you, I'd be pretty concerned.  Like, real concerned.  Bill Snyder, LSnyder as we call him, is one of the best in the biz when it comes to closing with high profile Qb recruits.
