    The very best.
Well, I am completely ready to throw myself into the cammy newton recruitment. let's do this, cats.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

:ksu: <---- w/ cam newtons head on it

I'm not sure that putting a Cam Newton head on a stick is going to help with our recruitment of him.  Put like a McCay head on a stick, let it serve as a warning to those that scorn us.

Interestingly enough, the katpak militia does have contacts in the flying banner business.

We have a couple things in our favor -

1 - We just put a QB in the league of similar size and strength. He can't help but make the comparison to himself.

2 - He only has two years - he can't go into a situation where he won't play right away. He can do that here. Arizona has a 4 star recruit sophomore starting this year.

3 - He needs to go into an offense that suits his strengths.

4 - Obviously our history with Blinn players having success here

5 - Having to play LSU, Alabama and Florida every year and being on an over-matched Miss State offense wouldn't be too appealing.

The kid probably considered himself a lock for the NFL coming out of HS. Now he has to prove something - and quickly. I think we are in a good spot.

What will probably happen though is we'll lead and then someone will get involved late (Pokes :curse:) and we'll lose him.

Yup, and this little gem from the Vols board back in May,

"Cecil Newton Sr., considering the circumstances, says he would prefer his son play out his final two years of college football at a school in somewhat close proximity to his family's Atlanta home.

"We want him to stay in the southeast, even though Kansas State has a reputable quarterback that just got drafted. Kansas State has some credibility. We'll sit down and talk about it. I'll say that it would have to be something really attractive to go thousands of miles away from home."

He loves Snyder and wants to stay close to home, not revealing my source on this one. I dont look at him as a RB in college, Joe could be an incredible DB, i mean its scary thinking how good he could be at that position.

Is he wanting to play DB?  Safety or Corner?  Prolly cb.  Nobody every sets out to be a safety imo.

He wants to play RB in college but I think most colleges would like to move him to DB. I'd say safety, he can fly to the ball and hit. Reminds me of Rashaad Washington.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see him end up back in the SEC.  Going out on a limb here, but I think he would like a chance to play Florida a couple of times.

I got a text from this Katz fan yesterday.

He told me he was in the lobby of the Embassy Suites in MPLS, MN and saw a fellow EMAW.  I told him to Wabash on over.  No reply.

I will tell him to get to work on a CamNew banner.

    Knows What Brent Did...
Good news, dudes. I was at a bbq last night and heard--from an unimpeachable source--that something anything recruiting NOTHING is distracting LHOFCWSnyderII and this staff from preparing this team for the season.

So, no worries on that front.
“My arm gets tired from doing this,” said coach Bill Snyder, waving his arm.

recruiting=distraction

Gonna go out on a limb and say there is very little recruiting going on at any school at this time of the year.  You know what's a pretty nice little recruiting tool?  Winning football games.  Seriously, I know it seems like an abstract notion to us EMAWers, but I've been told by some A+++++ sources that recruits look at stuff like that.

Hedgepeth to OSU.  FYI.

Old Balls fails loses out again as yet another top-level Kansas kid goes out of state to a conference rival.

And the tards reaction predictably is, "oh well, Oklahoma State is about as close to Wichita as it is to Manhattan".  "Can't blame the kid for wanting to stay close to home".

Hilarious.

If I was a highly recruited youngster, I'd probably go to OSU too.  Those facilities are pretty freaking amazing.  Plus, their coach is a 40 YEAR OLD MAN, not an extremely old man.
