In one of our many discussions, TP and I talked about swagger. Swagger is a key ingredient if a team is have the kind of success we as fans are looking for.
We need players who have great skills obviously, but we also need players who are willing to talk trash and get dirty on the field. However, you just can't switch it on, you need a few players who know how to do that so the rest can learn. Bryce would have been a great help to our team in helping build that.
Bryce picking Tennessee was kinda strange. Kiffin has been nothing more than a bad sports media magnet, having three NCAA violations in just two months since he was named head coach. Kinda makes you wonder what is really going on over there. Let's not forget that he's pissed off a couple of the other SEC coaches and in that male only club down there, that's tantamount to throwing down a challenge. This isn't a good thing for him.
Kiffin is an unproven coach with a huge ego (sound familiar?) and his tenure has been about as bad as it can get. Why, as a player, would you consider going someplace where the coach has issues and hasn't even coached his first game?
Clearly, K-State was a close second, but I'm hating moral victories right now. I'm getting tired of being close.
