Because of that stupid stimulus bill, I've had to work extra hours to complete some phases of the K-18 rebuild from Ogden to Seth Child.

Could you please dig a moat instead?  Ogden ppl need to get their own fracking school district and stop making ours all stinky.

There's a moat included in the project.  It runs from NE of Ogden down to the Kansas River.  It's called an overflow channel.

Joke: missed.

No... didn't miss it at all.... I just didn't really care about anyone in Ogden.

Just telling you there was a moat built in.

I don't really know anyone who has been affected thus far.  My retirement account has taken a huge blow, but I doubt that will affect me when I retire.  I may even be better off for it, right?

Go ahead and share your own sob stories, ksufans.

About 1/3rd of my graduating class has been laid off and I have taken a pay cut and a loss in benefits. About everyone I know in my industry has been affected.

i hear ya, seems like everytime i talk to a classmate someone else has been laid off (including myself).  oh wells, my new job doing manual labor beats the hell out of sitting behind a desk staring at a computer all day  :yuck:

And on the really nice days, you aren't stuck in the office wishing you could be outside...

And the whole world is my bathroom when I'm working outside.  Piss on it.

Know a few bankers at Bear Stearns and lawyers who have lost jobs.  Know LOTS of people (including me) who aren't getting any raise this year and/or have lost their investments.  They're talking about cutting my health care benefits, also.  I know other people who are still looking for jobs after graduating from law school last year, or who are graduating in a couple of months.  Lots of uncertainty out there even with all my employed friends.

...I'm pretty sure it's all Obama's fault, amirite?

Just a little note about foreclosures:  25% of 2008 foreclosures occurred in only 8 counties.  50% of foreclosures in '08 occurred in 35 counties.

I have been affected by the economy.  Because of that stupid stimulus bill, I've had to work extra hours to complete some phases of the K-18 rebuild from Ogden to Seth Child.  I'm also not allowed to stay in Manhattan anymore because it is considered "too close" so our production on a 'rush' project has decreased.

thanks for the new light :chainsaw:
