    The very best.
You can argue that Schmidt and Boss were our two higher rated O-Lineman...
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Thanks chum1 for your support of the coach that took our football program from a perennial loser to a perennial contender. You make me ill.  :yuck:

I think you're being an insecure KSU fan and reading too much into that.  It's a fact.  He was great in spite of it.

from what i had heard, he never really had the desire to play college football (one of those things where you're good at it but don't necessarily like it)...so while he didn't lived up to his potential, his lack of motivation could be a huge reason why.

chum1,

It's not what you posted, it's how you posted it.

The way you made that post, it sounds like most of Snyder's recruits are bust. That's the problem I have with it.

Snyder and every coach has made mistakes, but more often then not over the years, Snyder has made good choices and built this team into something we can be proud of.

I am hardly insecure, I was at K-State before Snyder arrived there. I know what he accomplished and it was not an easy task.

If you begin with the assumption that only highly rated recruits can be busts (because recruits that are not highly rated aren't epected to do much), then Snyder had all busts.  No four or five star rated recruit of Snyder's ever panned out.  It's kind of weird.  I don't think it's a negative thing in his case, though.

I respect you.  You are the guy that doesn't rubberneck while driving looking at the accident on the side of the road.   I am not as strong of a person as you...morbid curiosity just strikes me.  I can't get away from the trainwreck your football program has become....Help me...I have a problem.  I had similar issues during the Ricky Clemons basketball fiasco in Missouri...I honestly don't know which one has been more humorous thus far.  Ron Prince is fricking riot...he is disaster than just keeps giving little gems everyday.  Help!  If I don't get help I am going to be addicted until you strike bottom and finally crapcan this guy.  Thankfully that day appears closer than ever.

It's funny though, at least K-State fans realize there are problems in our program. ku fans have no clue.
You're calling our program a trainwreck... Haha.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

That's funny.  Meanwhile in Squawkville everything is great with Coach .240/.058 ... NCAA investigtion/possible sanctions??  What's the NCAA??  We've really lost 2 out of the last 3??  We've only won 1 conference road game in 17 tries??  We've only won 2 road games in the last 4.5 years??  Everything is great at ku ... it's on the "up tick".

Myopia ... party of 1.

This is not the first and won't be the last.  Not everyone will like a new staff, none of the guys that left were recruited by this staff.  I would be worried if Prince's guys were leaving.  This is not a system that these guys were recruited to play in.  Prince's offense is diametrically opposed to bill snyder's.  So don't be suprised if there are more that leave, that just opens more scholarships for Prince to offer to players that he and his staff like.  I don't see any defensive guys leaving.  It's not like there are players from all over the team leaving.  They have been olinemen and qb's.  The two positions that have probably had the toughest adjustment in this offense.

How far the mighty fallen?  Compare you football "powerhouse" to little old ku.

Maybe ku is a train wreck too?  Certainly we have not been very successful.  Watching ku's football program crash would be like watching two trains crash at a coasting 5 miles per hour.

That versus what is going on at KSU.  Its fascinating to watch Prince destroy in a matter of months what Snyder took almost two decades building.  So in K-State's situation you guys were clipping along at a pretty impressive pace and then CRASH... is hired.  I am not sure I could have scripted a guy screwing things up more...its unreal...and really bad.  Perhaps its because misery loves company, but I cant take my eyes/ears off your nosedive.

Tp be fair, Snyder did give him a two-year head start.  Prince is one game off of Snyder's pace when Snyder was one year removed from a freaking Big XII championship.

It is now official.

Lineman quits K-State football team

By HOWARD RICHMAN The Kansas City Star
Kansas State sophomore offensive lineman Matt Boss has quit the team, Wildcats’ sports information director Garry Bowman said in an e-mail response about Boss to The Star.

Bowman indicated Boss, rated the No. 10 lineman in the country by TheInsiders.com coming out of Cherryvale, Kan., High School, informed coach Ron Prince this week he was quitting. Bowman said he would put out an official statement on it later today.

Boss, who started three games in 2005 at right guard but was slowed by injuries last year, played in only the Florida Atlantic game this year. Boss redshirted in 2004.

Also, senior running back Thomas Clayton is on the dress list for Saturday’s game against Oklahoma State, Bowman said. There have been rumors that Clayton, demoted to third team behind Leon Patton and Terry Petrie, had been suspended. Bowman said he has not been told of any suspension in regards to Clayton by the coaching staff.

A lot of people who have been watching Boss has seen that he isn't what he was touted to be.

It just means we can get a kid to walk on and give him a scholly.

I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

I agree on some levels .... but it's just not the same as watching 3 or 4 McD AA's and host of other blue chippers lose a 1st round game to a team with 5 walk-ons to fill out the roster, or a team of a bunch of MVC nobodies (no offense Shocker).

A close 2nd is reading squawks basically acting like ku can just start preparing for Missouri now ... the general attitude of the Q#$! is ... after the moral victory last Saturday night, beating A&M is a forgone conclusion barely worthy of ku's time.

ku vs A&M .... ku fans are so bored, they'll leave thousands of seats empty.

But I do admire squawks for having such high hopes and such strong angst laden desires to think they can predict the future ... as they pray the rosary, squawk amongst themselves and hope beyond all hope that they're right about Prince.

Maybe you should actually read the A&M/ku prediction and thought threads... no one is saying we're going to beat A&M comfortably with no chance of a loss. Theres plenty of 'we must do' and 'must not do' theories about how we go about winning.

Nice job lying though.
