Hopefully next year we'll see a more consistent offensive player.

doubt it, he is who he is.

Next year, hopefully our bigs can be a little/lot more consistent and take some pressure off our guards allowing for Pullen to fully develop ans all around game.

It's a lot easier to hit 3's when there is a toss coming from the post after a defender collapses down.

He's decent at finding people around the rim after driving, but I totally agree about wanting him to finish.

    The very best.
wtf. stop putting pullen as disappointing.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Pullen is a disappointment. Like as big as Y2K. Everyone was expecting that to be epic and things just went on.... Or as disappointing as the first time you made love to a woman.

You're kinda mean dude.  You beat us and we split this year.  Why don't you go to phog and talk trash about the upcoming game?

Surprise:  Absolute demolishing of MU earlier in the season, and the subsequent five games after.  DC going off for 44, I wouldn't be surprised if he did it again though.

Disappointment:  Looking like idiots at NU.  Seeing 16 point lead cut to 1 before half-time against ku.  I've been a little disappointed with Sutton this year, sometimes he plays like a Pussy.

I was pretty dissapointed in myself for melting down earlier this year.

QFT.  Of course he looked slightly better on offense last year.  WE REPLACED BILL WALKER AND MIKE BEASLEY WITH LUIS COLON AND DARREN KENT.  JFC, people.

Also, his improvement in defense has been a surprise IMO.

At least Colon and Kent worked hard.

if any text ever warranted all-caps treatment for emphasis... that's it right there... but yet, both have improved and at times impressed

    warm up the EMAW
Surprise:  That my pre-season expectations were met/exceeded by this team

Disappointment: That I let myself revise those expectations.

I am excited about next year.  It's fun to have a decent point guard....forgot what that was like.  Personally, I am getting really into the the idea of going to Puerto Rico for that early non-con tournament next year.

I want to friggin' vaycay in P.R. every weekend.  Celebrate my boys.

Rather than players, I am most pleasantly surprised that Frank Martin has coached this band of misfits into the top 1/3 of the Big 12.

Honestly, having inherited the best player in the country, there was no way to tell for sure whether Martin was a good coach or not last year.  But, now we can say he appears to be a good coach.  I am positively impressed with his game-planning, player development and recruiting.  I was hard on Martin when we were 0-4 in conference (for good reason -- we were underperforming), but he has really turned this season around.  I am happy with this season and have high hopes for the future.

The ugly: Mizzou loss = (
"When Beasley dunked in the second half to make it a 12-point game, that was the loudest moment I’ve ever experienced at a college hoops game - Allen Fieldhouse included.”

I think why we struggled with 08 recruiting class, the year before we just had the number one recruiting class in the nation. Huggins left, leaving a unknown Martin as head coach. Beasley was sure to go pro, but Walker was a unknown. I believe that recruits these days are also looking at college coaches and their ability to get the young recruits a shot at the pros. There was alot of unknowns in 2007 and early 2008 for these recruits to take their chance on a unknown coach plus they would be following alot of good young players left at K-State. Martin has shown himself to be a good coach and as Hill as a good assistant I believe that there will be some excellent years in mens basketball at K-State.

OK, genius.

I am on record complimenting Martin's coaching last year, but there was no way to say whether our successes in 07-08 were entirely contingent on Beasley/Walker without waiting to see what happened this year.

fantastic observation.

Did you guys notice leaning back/arms folded pose all game @MU?  He usually seems disinterested, but I think he took it up a notch at Mizzou.

i'm agreeing with you.  i don't understand it either, but stupid (most kazzu fans) people really didn't seem to be able to tell.

did you see the quote where he told samuels "about time you did something" after one of the games samuels was ok in (isu?).  great attitude.
