Fat Tues/Lent

I'm an honorary Catholic and as such am participating in the festivities this year.  Drinking TONS of Mt. Dew today and ordering up an obscene amount of Chipotle tonight.  Tomorrow?

NO POP FOR 40 DAYS!  (FISHSTIX AND BEER ON FRIDAYS!)

Though in about 15 days I'll be able to convince my wife the Chipotle doesn't really count as fast food

started the no pop trick 2 years ago kids, 2 F'N years I've been pop free.  it's a great money saver too.

my usual lent friday food is- 
lunch:  wendy's fish sandwich
dinner:  sushi or mccormick & schmicks

I'm with ya on the pop dudes.  I've been phasing it out over the past week (thanks to some heart palpitations) and I had some today and it was 

40 days no pop... but I don't think I can go so far as to give up Chipotle.  Maybe I'll give up the tortilla, though.

Also non-hairy pukes. My cat has made a lot more mess over time than my dogs.

Luckily for me, I take no part in religious activity and can sit back and watch people suffer through Lent while continuing to gorge myself on w/e. So there's that.

No way, when cats piss on the carpet, floor, walls, it is WAY harder to get the smell out compared to a dog (WAY as in 10000000000000000000000000000000 times)

I have more experience trying to remove pet smells than any human would ever want FWIW

I'm guessing Catholic pedophile priests gather together at this time of year and laugh that they can get their sheep...err, congregation, to give things up as if it has some sort of impact on anything.

There is some solidarity in the effort that is attractive to many.  For some, it seems to be a chance each year to lose some weight, and use God as an excuse.

It is supposed to be a sacrifice that should remind you each day to think about God and what God has done for you......but for many catholics, lent, like church itself is just a big &@#%ing networking opportunity.

If it weren't for Muslims, they'd be shooting catholics, IMO.
