I tried to merge opcats thread and this one, but I got some weird error and it blew the &@#% up.  I probably should have wrote down the error..however:

K-State shakes up its depth chart
By HOWARD RICHMAN
The Kansas City Star

MANHATTAN, Kan. | Quarterback Josh Freeman isn’t the only key lineup shift at Kansas State.

True freshman running back Leon Patton is listed as making his first start Saturday at home against Oklahoma State, according to the updated depth chart released Tuesday. Patton has 13 carries for 57 yards.

Senior Thomas Clayton, who fumbled when K-State was deep in Baylor territory Saturday, was demoted to third team. Clayton is listed behind junior Terry Petrie.

Also, redshirt freshman Brock unruh is listed as the starter at right guard. Gerard Spexarth started against Baylor. He is not listed on the two-deep. Junior Logan Robinson is listed behind Unruh, who’ll make his first start.

True freshman Trevor Viers has changed sides of the ball. Formerly a defensive end, Viers now is listed as the backup to Nick Stringer at right tackle.

Freeman, a true freshman, replaces senior Dylan Meier at QB. Coach Ron Prince announced that after the 17-3 loss to Baylor.

The phog.net thread on this subject already has 15 posts.

As per usual, they are more concerned with our "demise" than they are their own team.

Kind of like the KSF basketball board, and their discussion about ku basketball.  Meh.

I was wondering when they would convert some defensive players.

Clayton couldn't cut it at FSU.  Just a bodybuilder.

ku basketball isn't suffering at all, and there really isn't that much ku basketball talk there right now.

Love the changes. We scored 3 points at Baylor....might as well.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Fatty, how quickly you forget that Clayton is one of the top backs in the nation.  You just don't go and drop a top notch RB like him to 3rd string.

Where the hell is James Johnson and Derek Meyer?  Johnson fell off the face of the earth, and wasn't meyer suppose to be the next willie roaf

    Fear the Brick
We've officially given up on this season with Freeman starting.  True freshman QB's with terrible offensive lines generally don't fair well.  Honestly, I haven't really given up on Prince, just this season.  What gives me hope is that the defense is playing so well; next year we should be even better on defense.  It's now an audition from here on out for the rest of the offense.  By year end, the offense should begin to find some consistency, both from the o-line and the QB position.

Snyder made me believe when he retired that there was enough left on this team to be a bowl team.  So thats what dissappoints me.

Maybe Prince ran off that talent

I'm not nearly as optimistic about our D getting better next year losing Archer, Mack, Diles, Echols, & Seiler.

Seiler and Mack are insignificant.  Hopefully Balcom will continue to take snaps away from Seiler to prepare for next year.  Defense should still be pretty salty, even though losing Echols and Archer really, really hurts.

I'm excited to go to the game, I might get Bingo and get to start at WR.

Seiler really isn't very good.  IMO we lose one DT.
