Time for the governor to go to Washington.

And being in a hiring freeze, we might be better off saving the money.

Do our resident lefties still think that sacraficing $20B in investments in the KS economy on the altar of global warming was a good idea?

who the hell gets money back from the state?
you guys must be doing something right, I've had to pay them every year.

also, does this mean that when a taxpayer doesn't have the cash to pay their taxes that they don't have to pay either?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I also want to know if we get them to pay penalties and interest when/if it finally does come.

First year I've gotten a refund since I can remember  :curse:

Thinking about telling the state that due to recent budget shortfalls in ltrain's budget that I will be temporarily suspending payments to the state until a thorough review can be performed.  The suspension will be temporary and should resume as soon as they give me my franking money.
Wondering who is running this hot dog stand and seriously considering heading out for tacos.

If the state can't pay me my refund...then why should I pay the state?

for the record, I haven't gotten a state refund since I was an undergrad. Graduate students don't get anything.

If I owe the state, I'll send them an IOU. THATS AS GOOD AS CASH.

ATTN STATEWORKERS:

If you freeloading dirtbags don't get a paycheck on Friday, PM me. I am considering (considering) privately employing people to do things for me. ex-write a book on my life story, count the number of hairs on my head while i'm sleeping, etc. BTW- I can't promise much more than room and board.

Seriously, hit me up w/ the PMs if this goes down d0odzs.

lol, not at all. i worked grouds crew one summer when i was at kstate. best job ever. if you didn't want to go in you just had to call and leave a message saying you weren't going in. i called like two weeks in a row. "yeah, this is daris...got too drunk again tonight and probably won't wake up in time to come in tomorrow morning. i'll try and come in after lunch."

I've wondered the same thing.  I've got 2 kids.  I donate to the states 529 plan. I even have $10 extra from each paycheck (which I may not be getting this week) taken out for state taxes.  I still have to pay a few bucks at the end of the year.

when did you work there? did you work campus grounds or purple zone? I worked purple zone for a year, didn't call, didn't show for about a month and a 1/2 cause, hangovers, to cold, lazy, etc and still had a job when spring hit. All I ever did was drive around in the gator and avoid the full timers that would rat you out. could park by brandenberry (sp) and see the "house" (shop) and haul ass when someone left to head your way. Now i work in one of the facility shops in Dykstra.
