We just got our tickets for CCR and Robert Earl Keen.

Reminds me, one of the best youtube vids OOT is CCR doing Robert Earl Keen live and Cody says:

"Thank you all for driving way the f^ck up here, thank you all for buy, burn, break into somebody's car to listen to it...I'm tired of rich musicians that are bitching about downloading music....whatever you have to do to listen to it, man we appreciate it"

Basically a huge f^ck you to metallica

    Wait...what?
Going down the first weekend of May to the calf fry in Stillwater.  Ragweed and coupla others (incl. Mike McClure band) on Friday night.  Boland and a bunch of others on Saturday.  Wish I could make it down Wednesday for Pat Green.

Miss the days of watching McClure and the Great Divide at Longhorns.  Drove up to BFE, Nebraska one summer to visit a friend who was in Lincoln for the summer and see the Divide at a county fair.  Good times.

Holy balls.  Calffry this past weekend was awesome.

They have it in this big field/arena outside Stillwater.  Holds like 8,000 people.  It'd been raining for like 4 straight days.  Ground was mud and water, a foot deep. Had to buy some waders at Wally World before going back out Friday night.

It looked to be about 85% college kids.  Ladies were lookin' good.  Lot of them decided to wear their sundresses/club tops out on Friday night despite the thunderstorms, and all ended up getting soaked.

Don't remember the name of the first band.  McClure followed and put on a good show, even sang a few old Divide tunes.  Ragweed played for 2 hours after that.  Pitchers flying up on stage from every direction.  Ladies getting up on guys' shoulders and flashing the band.

Gotta park along the county roads in every direction...walking back to the vehicles was fun...looked like about 20 or so couldn't get out of the mud that night.
