I choose basketball not because its in season or anything. Just because of how hard it is to win the tourney.
And because there is always bitching about who should really be the N.C. in football and probably will be until they get playoffs.
Thoughts? :users:

Football.  Not even close.  Any jerkstore can win a basketball NC.  They aren't even a big deal imo.

much harder and more prestigious to win in football.  hell, you can go undefeated in football, even in a good conf, and still not win the NC. regular people remember who won the title in football in specific years going back to forever, whereas its forgotten almost the next day who won the tourney in a particular year.

I would rather win the Big 12 in football than the NC in basketball

    Sniff Sniff. . . I smell Heisman.
I would have to say anything with basketball over football. Probably because I'm so disgusted with our football program.
csourk is the best pre-college poster on this board.  way better than oxlp956

No way, a NC is a NC , it doesn't compare with a conference championship imo. I'll take whatever we get first.
“Nobody plays harder than Kansas State.  Bilas said that to me in person,” Martin said. Now, does that mean that I’m happy every day?  No, because it’s our job to continue to get those guys to continue to grow.”

    The very best.
Football is kind of f*cked up,  because most years there really isn't a national champ. Does anyone really acknowledge Florida as the national champ? Or LSU from 2007?

I'd rather win the big 12 in football, than make the final four in basketball.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

*A GREAT RUMBLING OF BASS AND MUCH SHAKING*
The Texas State fan in me: Football. Why? Because we have to be damn good in football if we want to move up to a 1-A conference from our current 1-aa digs. We can be mediocre/crappy in bball as long as football is good and our non-revenue sports continue to be very good/dominant (which they are  )

The Kansas fan in me: Football. The bball championship was amazing, but I'm pretty sure that a national championship in football would send me screaming around my neighborhood wearing nothing but underwear and a lampshade on my head. It's probably because the program's history is traditionally not so great and a championship would be completely unexpected. I'm sure that a lot of KSU fans felt the same way back in the 90's.
