    shame on you, non-believers
Ryan LaFebvre said Hunter's catch put Granderson's to shame, and Ryan LaFebvre knows infinitely more about baseball than JTKSU. Fact.

    Gettin' angried up!!!
The toughest of internet guys.
My guess would be Granderson caught the ball at a higher point b/c he was almost stopped and timed his jump at the base of the wall.

Hunter was on a dead sprint and had to jump horizontal as well as up which is how he caught the ball after it had left the stadium.

True on both accounts.  Plus, Torii is a pretty damn tall dude so it looked more effortless on his part.

He sure does provide an unbiased viewpoint, doesn't he?

*edit-  To take a step farther, I am both a Royals fan and a huge Torii Hunter fan.  And I am willing to admit that even though Torii's catch was a very nice one, Granderson's catch flat out amazed me.  Don't let the powder blue kool-aid affect your judgment.

Why would he be biased toward Torii Hunter over Curtis Granderson?

Because that catch ultimately cost the Royals a game.  Oh, and because he was the Twin's broadcaster before moving over to the Royals after Torii's second season in Minnesota.

    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.
Both are good....just a pissing contest now. Hunter said it was his 2nd best catch ever FWIW.

Both are good catches but neither were amazing and Toriis catch was better than Grandersons IMHO.

When I used your link, I got an error message.  Where you talking about Gary Matthew's catch?  Yeah, that puts the other two catches to shame.  That is, honestly, one of the most amazing plays I have ever seen.  Put it right up there with Mays and Edmonds.  Maybe even better, considering it was basically the same over the head catch, but he also jumped up a fence while doing it.

Hooch should change the official spelling of his name.  Maybe add an "i" or something.

Coco drops a flyball and it gets worse  :-[
“Nobody plays harder than Kansas State.  Bilas said that to me in person,” Martin said. Now, does that mean that I’m happy every day?  No, because it’s our job to continue to get those guys to continue to grow.”

He was practically crying walking off the field. Back to the minors!

That would very likely mark the end of his big league hopes.

Just goes to show that using the first overall pick to take a pitcher is completely worthless.   :flush:

wow

well at least we don't have to worry about blowing this one in the late innings

Just goes to show that using the first overall pick to take a pitcher that spent a year after college in independent ball is completely worthless.   :flush:
