Remember when that person was firing into the stadium from the interstate with a gun?  Maybe they were aiming at that loser?  Also, shooting into the stadium with a gun is a good prank because everyone gets a laugh and nobody gets hurt.

Aaaand another runner is gunned down easily at the plate thanks to Dave Owen being legally retarded.

I was sitting close to the field and had a damned good view of that play. His foot had already crossed home plate when he was tagged. The ump had moved into position behind the play and was blocked from seeing it. I was able to see most of the pitches, too. Not sure what the ump was looking at. His strike zone changed more often than my 15 year old daughter's clothes. JMO-FWIW

a) If so, it was the catcher's bad, as the throw was there way ahead of Teahen.

b) How many runners has Owen gotten gunned down at the plate already this young season?

c) How long are Royals fans going to excuse him by fooling themselves into thinking the runners were "really" safe? You don't just toss away RISP like that. Owen is a moron.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Owen. Just saying the home plate ump sucked more than a wedding photographer at an Oklahomo wedding.

When you have leads, you can afford to take risks like that.

What Owen's doing isn't taking risks, it's guaranteeing outs. They aren't even close calls. And I disagree anyway: I think holding a narrow lead with less than 2 outs is a terrible time to gamble on anything less than a sure thing.

I guess there's a rule that they can't start showing the game in HD until the 3rd inning!

Zack looking good again, unfortunate double to start inning that produced a run.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

This loss tonight was NOT Greinke's fault. He pitched another gem.

i hated it when some people said he got out pitched...noooo...we got out hit. Olivo made a horrible play at a bad time.

Torri Hunter's catch in center was fracking amazing. Wright lost the game for us. That double play would have most likely kept them to zero runs that inning.

Actually wasn't too terribly impressive.  Short wall, so Torii barely had to jump.  Granderson's catch was like a million times more impressive.

Dude, I've been a Torii hunter fan since you were still in short pants.  It was a nice catch, but not even in the ten catches of his career.  The fact is, it was a very short wall and he barely had to jump to make the catch.  Granderson, on the other hand, had to sky to reach his ball.  Here's the replays, judge for yourself:

Very nice catch:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42ZID261YaU

Guess Granderson is just shorter than I though he was.  He certainly had much more air under his feet than Torii did.  Maybe the ball itself was higher at that point?  And don't call me a dumbass.  You some sort of internet tough guy?

The toughest of internet guys.
My guess would be Granderson caught the ball at a higher point b/c he was almost stopped and timed his jump at the base of the wall.

Hunter was on a dead sprint and had to jump horizontal as well as up which is how he caught the ball after it had left the stadium.
