Greinke is a fracking beast. Back to back complete games and he still has an ERA of 0.00.

Dude's always had filthy stuff.  Real happy for him that it looks like he has finally got his head in the right place.  Sky's the limit for him.

Normally, the Royals conduct batting practice from 5:00 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. while visiting teams hit from 5:40 p.m. to 6:25 p.m. for a 7:10 p.m. game.

I would assume the times would be pushed forward an hour.   :dunno:  Got the info from the official site though.

Also why I chose tomorrow to make my first trip to the K this season.   But the jersey will have #40 on the back..... Farnsworth's number  :yuck:

yeah, the rangers are trying to win the game as well. idiot fans.

Honestly you could throw Greinke into the Rangers rotation and probably be a lock for the division. I recently had a conversation with Nolan Ryan and let's just say he wouldn't remind you of someone on top of their game (mentally), but if he would be willing to pick up a couple of promising youngsters and a true #1, the Rangers in my mind would be favs for the AL champs.
Lollersquirts!!!

Yeah, all of that was a lie except for the Nolan Ryan part. Greinke is trash and the only team the Rangers can really beat is the KC Whoyalls.

Odd.  Peter Gammons actually said, just yesterday, that Greinke has a legitimate chance to win the Cy Young this year if he continues at his current level.

Do you have any idea how many people could win the Cy Young if they would just pitch for 35 starts the way they do for five games? :flush:

Wow, it's really pissing you off that Greinke is finally realizing some of his true potential, isn't it?  Don't let your hatred of the kid blind you to the fact that even the Baseball Tonight guys are impressed with his stuff.

Why would Greinke's success make me mad? And don't rely on anyone besides Kruk on BBTN. I guarantee if you were to ever meet Steve Phillips, the first thing he would tell you was that he used to be the GM of the Mets. Obviously that worked out well, so yeah he's clearly a great person to be talking about baseball as an 'expert' in the field. :yikes:

You trying to tell me that you know more about baseball than a former major league GM?  You're just making yourself look silly now.  Anyway, it was Buster Olney that made that comment.  You know, the two time Pulitzer Prize nominated sportswriter.  But I'm sure you know more than him as well.

:jerkoff:

:chirp:

Curious about your thoughts on Greinke now.  Still  :jerkoff:?

I think that would be enough to win the CY Young award.

All Rise... The Judge is in the house.
Went to the game last night. Very good pitching performance like you all are saying. I was really impressed with the way we played D as well. Yes we made that one mistake that ended up being a run but overall we were turning double plays fielding ground balls nicely and cutting the ball off in the outfield to prevent some singles from becoming doubles. Overall I like this team.

Also the stadium is AMAZING. Yesterday was the first time I had been to the stadium since last season. Only thing I was pissed about is they canceled the fireworks show after the game  :curse:

1-11?  Maybe you should do the team a favor and not go anymore.  Or maybe, you finally got the monkey of your back and it's smooth sailing from here on out.

JUST CONFIRMED THAT FSN IN OMAHA WILL HAVE RSTN IN HD THIS SEASON!

My multiple calls to Cox Omaha complaining about KC getting them in HD and my KC friends rubbing it in my face totally prolly paid off!

We've got it in HD in Manhattan now (Channel 656). Looks like it started this weekend.

    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.
Went to the game saturday. I was actually surprised at how Ponson pitched. He looked good warming up ( haha i can actually say that!) and he got ahead in the count on a lot of batters. After he gave up that home run i figured it was all downhill, but he settled in just fine. Our offense is something else. We can not have over 8 LOB at the end of the game and expect to win. It was a good sign to see Guillen get a nice RBI and Aviles get his first home run. The bottom of the order yesterday was just horrible.

Anyway, the K looks great and our pitching isn't horrible. We just need the offense to catch up.

There’s a lot more interesting stuff going on right now.  They should have something else on the cover. Playoff basketball or something else.  So it’s a mistake. They’ll probably sell their least amount of magazines in a long time _ except when NASCAR was on the cover.

Right-hander Luke Hochevar produced another strong start Monday in limiting Oklahoma City to one unearned run in six innings in Class AAA Omaha’s 8-1 victory in the first game of a doubleheader.
Hochevar improved to 4-0 and lowered his ERA to 1.44 in 25 innings over his four starts. He permitted just four hits while striking out seven and walking two.

Looks like we will have Hoche up pretty quick. Watch your ass Ponson!! Actually Keep up the good work

Once Ponson begins to struggle you can bank on Hoch being called up. He is pitching too well right now not to be in the Bigs...
