Would be nice to have depth back but I like the lineup they are sending out right now... Callaspo so far this season has been the most consistent hitter surprisingly.

Not really that surprising.  He hit well last year.  Hitting has never been his problem.  Its been defensive range and too much  :beerchug:

Oh well. You can't win them all. We're ok as long as we can keep winning series and Texas is next. We can pitch, Texas can hit, we can't hit but Texas can't pitch either so I'm confident heading into this series. This has been a fun season so far and I expect that to continue.

Meche, Greinke and Davies are the only starters who can pitch. Soria and maybe Mahay are the only relievers that can pitch. When anybody besides Meche, Greinke, and Davies start, we're most likely not going to win. It's still really early in the season, but we need  more consistency outside of our top three starting pitchers.

Cruz, Wright, and Tejeda have pitched 13.2 innings with a 0.00 ERA, 3 hits allowed and an almost 4:1 K:BB ratio.

Greinke also became just the third pitcher in the last 40 years to win his first three starts of the season without allowing a run, and the first American League hurler to do so since Cleveland's Luis Tiant in 1966.

    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.
It was like he was messing with them last night. He would throw 3 balls not even close to get it to 3-0. Then proceed to throw three fastballs on the outside corner to strike them out. It happened twice last night!
I walk out of that tunnel in this building and the passion of our fans, just gets me going. I mean just gives me an adrenaline rush that you guys just don't understand. - Frank Martin

Why the hell did Hillman not bring Soria in to pitch the 8th and 9th?  He hasn't pitched at all this series!  :curse:

The funny thing is that Royals fans have been duped into believing that he's going to bring a 'wiley veteran' presence to the pitching staff. You know, a 'Farnsworth, who has never really gotten enough blowjobs from commentators because he's just an unrecognized genius pitcher' type of mentality. Good haul on Moore btw, franchise is headed to the top in rocketship fashion.

Now thinking about it, Pedro could've been a 2-3 inning reliever  :dunno:

loved after game one when Trey was asked "why didn't you bring in Mahay to face Thome, seeing the leftie match up?" trey... "I don't believe in leftie specialist and we sure don't have one."

couple games later metions the fact that Mahay is so good against lefties, one would assume "hey this guy should be used against lefites, maybe even a lefty specialist."

WTBFD today Trey??

Tray is borderline negligent.  We will lose this awful, awful division because of this awful, awful coach.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Farnsworth should pitch no time after the 7th period, he is a good 6th/ 7th inning guy.  Definitely not a set-up type guy until he proves he deserves that role.

Honestly you could throw Greinke into the Rangers rotation and probably be a lock for the division. I recently had a conversation with Nolan Ryan and let's just say he wouldn't remind you of someone on top of their game (mentally), but if he would be willing to pick up a couple of promising youngsters and a true #1, the Rangers in my mind would be favs for the AL champs.

Yeah, all of that was a lie except for the Nolan Ryan part. Greinke is trash and the only team the Rangers can really beat is the KC Whoyalls.

Feel much better about winning that game with Banny on the mound than HoRam...
