I bought my XBOX in may of 07, got RROD in sept. did the towel trick, worked for about a month, got it again. Did the towel trick again, broke in december. Sent it in, finally got my XBOX back in APRIL. Broke in october and I sent it in and haven't received it yet.
that sucks, everyone I know that's had the RROD has been getting them back within 3 weeks maximum. you should call them and find out the deal because there's obviously a problem.
not a big deal, I don't play my 360, when my nephew and cousins come over they play it, cause they like halo 3. COD 4 is better IMO. Also, the fact that PS3 has blu-ray is the main selling point, I mean a lot of people don't have 1080p yet, but when HD first came out it was the same with 720p, now 720p is the norm, as will 1080p pretty soon. Might as well build for the future rather than having to buy a 360 now, then a ps3 later. Pointless to buy a 360 just to buy the HD adapter for 200.00 that then makes the 360 more expensive. Not to mention that MLB the show is probably the best game out for either system right now. I don't care if you like baseball that much RTTS is some serious fun. I played that for about 12 hours straight when I had my shoulder surgery.
Downside for PS3
- Not as many games
- Network not as reliable
Upside
- Blu-Ray player
- Much higher potential
- Works with bluetooth
- Has an internet browser
Downside for 360
- Have to pay for online networking
- System will break
- Pretty much maxed out potential
Upside
- More reliable network
- More games
- Has netflix?
