Theres a break!

Infield single and an error, moving the runner to second.

No outs.

Pathetic. We get Martini on 2nd with no outs and we can't bring him home. Reminds me of the Royals.  :curse:

All Rise... The Judge is in the house.

In that case, congrats Rice.  Good luck against LSU.

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Tough game tonight.  Taylor Wall (Rice pitcher) was very, very good.  He kept everything down and the Cats couldn't make good contact.  Our relief pitching was not good and Brad left Todd in too long.  Rice has excellent hitters and they took advantage of every good pitch.  Ryan Daniel did not look good at all even during warmups, but Rooke and Marshall pitched well.  Our lack of starting pitching depth clearly hurt us tonight just like it has all year.

The guy that fell out of the stands fell over a 4.5 ft chain link fence going for a ball that had been hit foul down the right field line.  The top flight Rice security didn't even go over and take the guy out of the ballpark since fans are not suppose to be on the field.  It was embarrassing that he was wearing purple.

Overall, Xavier didn't do us any favors earlier today by not getting into their bullpen and Wall closed the door with his cg.  It is all working Rice's way and they will be difficult to beat tomorrow.  Considering the outcomes of the other Big 12 schools' games today we all sucked.

this is the problem simple because we are still new at this whole thing.

We'd better hope that Allen has a career day tomorrow or else it could be a slug fest.

I LOL'd at that guy going after the foul ball.  Been at both the rice games, and it's been fun to watch although Sun night was kinda brutal.  Never made it to one game in my 5 years at KSU.  Just curious, how many days rest do college starters typically get?  Is it the same as major leagues where they can pitch every 5 days?  Wish I could go tomorrow but getting there by 6 from where I would would be impossible.  Seems like there was a lot more purple on Saturday, maybe just because we were on the 3rd base side?
