Sam Houston should not be a 4 seed. I think they might actually be more dangerous than Xavier, so watch out for them. They're a very, very streaky team right now and they're geared towards postseason play (they were a 7 seed in the Southland Conference tournament and won 4 straight to win the title), they could easily beat Rice. Texas State, who Sam Houston beat in the SLC title game, already beat Rice in Houston this year.

If you can steal one from UNC that regional could be yours. 


I think KSU has a good shot of winning the Houston regional. Rice is not indestructible by any means unlike some previous years where nobody could touch them. I'm just saying yall got a bad draw in Sam Houston as a 4 seed, they should really be a strong 3 seed despite their mid-season collapse. They're probably one of the hottest teams in the country right now.

As for getting out of Chapel Hill, sure it could happen, but the one and two seeds in that regional are probably among the top 15 teams in the country. Coastal Carolina is one of those legit "mid-major" schools that's always good, so Kansas has to worry about getting past them first. I'm more concerned with the Austin regional though since Texas State is a 2 seed there and that's where I go to school. I think we've got a legit shot to beat Boston College. Texas, I'm worried about. That damn turf at Disch-Faulk always seems to give our fielders trouble  :angry:

WOOHOO!  This is great for our Houston recruiting and for me a short drive to watch the Cats for the third time this year (UofH, UT and now Rice). 

Rice has struggled through the year and I like Morris on Saturday to tame the Owls just like he did the 'horns.
