I may be wrong, but I don't think there is a "regular season" champion in baseball.  The winner of the Big12 tournament is considered the champion.

You asked that right before I was. I think thats what happens which I think is total  :bs:. It shouldn't matter what you do in 3 or 4 days it should be what you do over the season.
He's not the fastest guy in the BIG XII he's the fastest guy in the country.

We should make a trophy either way.  Also, should make a North trophy every time we win the 4 way north race.

WTF does that mean?  We play one less game on the season?  Can you even do that in conference?

We've got a tie and now one less game on our record. Somehow those two oddities will come back and bite us and keep us from winning the conference.  Remember, We Are KState.

I agree somehow we're going to end up getting fracked because of this.  :violin:

Yeah but that pretty much doesn't mean anything in the regular season.

ut has a three game series w/ aTm left, while the Bat Katz get Tech and uk. So the chances are pretty good we can win the regular season and nab the #1 seed in OKC. Winning that seed could go a long way in helping us get to the final, which could really help our NCAA seeding. :billypopcorn:

From Rivals - RPI Talk...

Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma were regional hosts in our latest regional projections. The Longhorns and Aggies both appear to be in very good shape to get a host. OU, though, likely lost its bid, at least for now, with a pair of losses to Kansas this weekend. As of this morning, OU is sixth in the Big 12. So, who would be OU's replacement as of today? We present to you the Kansas State Wildcats. KSU is 34-11, has an RPI of 24, is 10-9 against top-50 RPI teams and is 19-11 against top-100 RPI teams. I think both teams squarely are in the mix right now, but get the idea the NCAA would give KSU the edge right now.

Good for us if we make it to a regional we should be like the feel good story of college baseball. Brad Hill has a little Bill Snyder in him.
He's not the fastest guy in the BIG XII he's the fastest guy in the country.

We are a lock to make it to a regional at this point.  Now, hosting one would be a huge deal.....or making a super regional.

    The very best.
if we do host a regional, i want us to come across as a fan base w/ridiculously low baseball IQ just to piss off texas fans.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Just got an e-mail: $2 Coronas on Tuesday from 5-6:30 pm (while supplies last) and also free "El Beisbol de los Gatos" t-shirts for the first 150 fans with K-State ID, yeah cinco de mayo
“Nobody plays harder than Kansas State.  Bilas said that to me in person,” Martin said. Now, does that mean that I’m happy every day?  No, because it’s our job to continue to get those guys to continue to grow.”

Elaborate. Is this $2 Coronas inside the game? Or at Cat Town or whatever?

Cat Town, they don't sell alcohol in the game

Didn't think so, but that's a good deal I'll probably have to go.
