KSU Baseball

Baseball tends to be an acquired taste IMHO.  I will say this though:  Actually go to a few games and get a feel for the atmosphere.  Most people are pleasantly surprised by how much fun the games are.  Of course, when I was at KSU, the atmosphere at the stadium was roughly the same as the atmosphere at a paint drying competition.  Kinda hard to really get into a doubleheader when they are less fans in the stands than there are players in the dugouts.

I don't know why it's so hard to see the appeal of this. Getting in for free or next to nothing, picking where you sit, eating cheap hot dogs and sunflower seeds on a beautiful afternoon... Oh and you get to watch baseball while you're at it. Sounds like a perfect day to me.

I don't know if any of you guys have ever got to watch any of the NBC tournament in Wichita, but it's a pretty great way to be unproductive for about two weeks every summer.  I swear I use up most of my vaca time during March Madness and NBC time.

It doesn't matter how you perform year in and year out... every year it's the same media that thinks that teams will never change so the texas schools are at the top and then kstate and ku are at the bottom. Same song different verse...

just returned from UH-KSU Sunday game.  Cats snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by leaving so many guys on base.  Rooke looked very good and I think they will be competitive this year and could finish in the top 1/2 with some luck.  The pitching looked better than I expected and they gave up only 7 runs while taking 2 of 3 from a 08 NCAA tourney team.  Cats making inroads to Houston recruiting where we play baseball 50 weeks a year so the trips down here should be more frequent.

K-State Loses Heartbreaker to San Diego, 2-1

Kansas State had the go-ahead run in scoring position in the top of the ninth with the game tied at one, but a fly-ball out got the Toreros out of the jam and gave them momentum going into bottom half of the inning, as USD received a walk-off hit in the to top the Wildcats, 2-1, Saturday at Cunningham Stadium.
