If you were/are expecting "the most talented K-State team in the past 20 years*" to be in the dance, then yes this is a must win.

*not counting Beasley/Walker.

Speaking of that, besides a miracle, what would it take to get to the dance. I mean 10-6?? One win in the Big 12 Tourney.

you were far too diplomatic in your rebuttal on gpc.  even if every player was a sr, it wouldn't be the most talented ksu team in decades*.  maybe top 5 since kruger.  probably more like in the between 5-10 range.

10-6 won't do it.  Maybe if we had beaten OU, but I don't think there is a good enough win on the remaining schedule to get us in at 10-6.  10-6 with a win at Texas would still be a worse resume than the Martin/Hoskins team that didn't make it.

To dance; 12 Big 12 wins, including the league tournament.  Minimum.

10-6 +1 will do it aslong as it puts us in the top 4 in the Big XII

10-6 -1 will not if we are in the top 4

10-6+2 will do it if we are 5th in the Big XII

10-6 +1 -1 if we are 5th in the Big XII wont

We've done 10-6 + 1 with a tougher league, tougher OOC, and HOF coach and didn't make it.  No way in the north does that get a team in.. IMO.

umm..except if your ku and home wins over sienna and temple count as "quality"

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

i belive that 10-6 from the big XII has been left out only once and it was that year, 10-6 +1 this year if we are 4th in the con. will get us in

this is the worst the big 12 has ever been.  10-6 with nothing in the ooc and a north weighted schedule will be very dicey.  it'll depend on how many other teams are competing for those last spots, of course.  but if all you have to talk about is your big 12 10-6, not good.

edit:  to clarify.  mu would be in @ 10-6 with their ooc wins.  isu, ksu, nu, and cu have no shot to get to 10-6.  so we're really just talking ku.  they've got some dec. wins, but they need uw and uf to play well if they only plan on going 10-6.

The Big 12 north is weaker now than it was when we were left out.  That will be factored in by the committee.  And our OOC is aweful.  It would take several upsets (ku, UT and prob one more in the tournament.)  We have absolutely nothing on our resume right now.  Nothing.

well, a big part of it is that ksu fans don't have a quality message board to use.  but yeah, &@#% snyder.
