So. With ku if you limit two players you really have a good chance of stealing a win.

What kind of defense are we going to play?

If we go to zone it allows Collins and M-Star and Reed/Releford to bomb away. But it limits the polar bear.

When we go man, Aldrich is going to pwn us.

I imagine that we will see a mix of a these. But what do you think?

    The very best.
1-3-1? ou used it well vs kst.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I think we will play them straight up man to man.  No one on their team has shown that we need to double team them.  I hope we play m2m and with helpside defense on aldrich and the twins.  Masta Seff will try to leverage his height advantage with the twins and cole, none of whom will kill us.  We will need to stop their guard penetration which will break down our d, but we've shown we can do that this season.

ku will struggle to defend our speed.  Need to keep Jamar out of foul trouble.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

we will kill ku if they try that.  ou's guards are way better than ku's.

Aldrich is foul prone. Would be nice to get him out of the game early.

I realize that we won't get many breaks in AFH.

obviously you'll play a little of both but the best way to stop us is to play zone and stop cole.  if you can limit his touches you should do o.k.  sherron's going to get his (whether it takes him 10 or 20 shots).  but if i was you i would rather take my chances with brady or tyrel shooting the 3 than letting aldrich get the ball down low alot.  we do a horrible job of getting cole the ball when teams play zone on us.

I kind of agree, we don't want him heating up, or going to the line and fouling our big men out.  I'm worried mostly about losing Jamar again.  Really hurt us Saturday.  I think that the paint situation will kill us in afh.

Every game that they have struggled in this season was a result of Aldrich getting in early foul trouble and not being able to respond. We need to establish something down low and go right at him with Samuals and Kent. Colon is too soft and just can't seem to draw many fouls so I won't count on him to do much tomorrow...

Well I mean games in which they probably should have won like Umass, Syracuse, and a few close games against poor teams in which Aldrich got into foul trouble. All I am saying is if we can get him into foul trouble early I like our chances.

LOL.
What happens if they forget they have a game that day and are all out drinking tomorrow night, will you like our chances then too? They shouldn't have won UMass or Syracuse, they're not that good of a team this year.  They should have lost and did.

You know Reed and Morningstar are going to have the game of their lives.  It never fails with ku, some bench scrub always ends up going off.  I bet between the two of them they'll have like 25 points, most of all coming from 3's.

i think clemente will be on collins.

I hope we press more than we did against OU.  Does anyone know why we didn't do more full court pressure on the sooners?  But I also would like to see a 2-3 zone to keep the middle clogged.

i'm not sure why Sutton would be on collins primarily.  I would assume Morningstar would take sutton and vice versa.  Taylor is going to be a tough matchup for pullen considering his height, length, and quickness advantage.

ku can put either taylor or morningstar on sutton and be equally effective most likely as they are all of similar size with both giving up some strength to sutton.

If KSU presses then it will be interesting to see if ku's depth wears down KSU later in the game.

+1

If we can hold OU to 61 points going man-to-man all game long, there's no need to switch up on ku.  They are inferior at almost every position on the floor, or it's a push.  Collins is probably the only exception.

Colon will get into foul trouble.  We just need to hope that Anderson holds his own, and the platoon of defenders we use on the post against Aldrich will withstand the barrage of fouls called on them.

You know when you go into AFH, you're going to get whistled constantly.  I hope that they hammer the crap out of Cole and make him earn the points as opposed to sending him to the line after a BS touch foul.

I'm pretty sure he will be, and that should be fine.  Denis is a good on-ball defender.

Collins can break the press.  However, when he's out, and Reed is in, I'd run full court press and half court trap to confuse him and hopefully force turnovers.

ku has more depth than KSU.  not sure what you are trying to say here.

btw, you guys obviously haven't watched much basketball this year.  Taylor and Collins both handle the ball plenty and Reed is not a PG backup.

We play nine deep every game and play an even more up tempo game than uk.  The cats are in shape and can run with anyone.  And have to run to win IMO.  Don't think pressing will wear the Cats out but we will see how things pan out.

your bench is full of tools and you even start the biggest tool in college basketball (kent).

Taylor, Collins, Appleton - PG's
Morningstar, Reed, Taylor - SG's
Morningstar, Releford, Little - wings
Aldrich, Morris, Morris, Thomas - bigs

sorry, but the facts are right in front of you.

I like Pullen, Clemente and Brown but KSU doesn't have much after that. Awaji is okay I guess.
