I love the smell of peat in the evening.  That smell, you know that earthy smell...  Smells like...whisky !

You've got that right!  You talk about going into a place that leaves you speechless!

Iola. POS town.

I have many relatives in Sabetha Rick Daris, it's not the best town but it is definitely not the worst.

FTW.  Feels like you're stepping back in time.  Plus the people just stare at you like zombeeezzzz.

Had the same thought.  Grew up not terribly far from there, but never actually been there.  Heard a lot of weird stories, though.  One black guy I knew said it felt like it was called "white" city for a reason.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

no junk town mentions or dodge city yet?

I worked in Junction City for six years or so for United Telephone.  The town was kinda weird.  I think Fort Riley had a lot to do with that...

3 fracking years of my life, I had to cover that for KAKE.  It never fails, that damn event always happens on the coldest fracking day of the year.  Burn in hell, Liberal.

Shot a story there once, and my reporter swears that she was tapped on the shoulder, even though we were the only ones there.

Was looking at the B-24 one time and I swear someone was inside of it tapping on something.  No way anyone could get in that thing.  :yikes:

Can't argue the Iola vote. If you think that Greensburg is bad now, you should have been there the weekend after the tornado. That was a strange place to be. Agreed on Scandia. It does have a large Neo-Nazi group there. They also don't like strangers.
