Had the same thought.  Grew up not terribly far from there, but never actually been there.  Heard a lot of weird stories, though.  One black guy I knew said it felt like it was called "white" city for a reason.

I worked in Junction City for six years or so for United Telephone.  The town was kinda weird.  I think Fort Riley had a lot to do with that...

Can't argue the Iola vote. If you think that Greensburg is bad now, you should have been there the weekend after the tornado. That was a strange place to be. Agreed on Scandia. It does have a large Neo-Nazi group there. They also don't like strangers.
