no junk town mentions or dodge city yet?

Oh yeah!  That place is strange for Kansas.  A lot of cultural diversity in a white trash environment.

There are 4.25 communities in Kansas worth a crap.

Greater Kansas City (both Joco and Dot), Lawrence, Manhattan, Wichita, and roughly 25% of Topeka.  Everything else is uninhabitable.  Only Williamsburg escapes with a small astrix because of "Guy and Mae's."

This state is comprised of worthless villages of trolls that offer very little value to the country beyond the land they occupy.  We should remove all incorporated "cities" beyond those listed above, and allow massive corporate firms to farm the state using migrant workers from Mexico.

97% of Kansas  =  :AzCatBS:

Of the metroplex comprised of Garden City, Dodge City and Liberal, GC is far and away the "Monte Carlo" of the three. Dodge and Liberal are truly hell holes. The Big Pool rulz!

Once you get used to the blood pool/feedlot stench in the air, Garden City was a pretty good place to live.  Born and Raised there.  Go Buffs!!

DC get's my vote for Hell Hole.  Wierdest town might go to Holcomb...."In Cold Blood" anyone?

Watching KSU kick the crap out of #1 OU 35 -7, and watching as your OU Friends sat farther and farther away from the TV, eventually leaving the watch party early.

We were 3 and 0.  And State runner-up. During my 3 GCHS years. Meadows was still the HC...Smith was the O-Line coach.
(3 because my Sophmore year was the first year that Freshmen were in the HS.  Was in 9th at Kenneth Henderson.)
Seems so long ago.

Dorance  (Dorrance?)

I've never been there, but neither has anyone else, nor has anyone been known to leave there.   It has a water tower so I assume there are living beings there.   You see it over there just off I-70 but noone ever stops there for anything.  Weird town imo.

I knew a guy from there and I've been there once.

I would say that Wilson being close and with it being the Czech capital of Kansas probably overshadows Dorrance.

Hmmmm, interesting.   When I was in high school (late 70's) there was a rumor that it was a cult town, satanists in fact.  True story.  And you have a friend from there, AND have been there yourself............ :yikes:

I remember that.   Dodge screwed up when they didn't hire Bill Keeley when Masters retired.  Keeley went on to LaCrosse and got them going.

Iola. POS town.

I have many relatives in Sabetha Rick Daris, it's not the best town but it is definitely not the worst.

Never said Sabetha was bad...just weird. The next time I end up there I'm going to tell everyone that it's 2008 and not 1964.

I've always said, "Whatever Works!"  DM was the Bill Snyder of GCHS.  Was also prominent member of my church - good man.  I think he's coaching down here in TX just South of DFW.  Desoto I think.

Garden also ran out Springston when he was Principal... pretty stupid town sometimes.  The Mob Mentality is contagious there.  Now his son Brad Springston is the Principal...trying to make amends?
