During his monologue, blasted Bill Self for losing control during UMass game.  Basically said his tirade worse than Frank, because Frank doesn't get T'd up ever. Awesome!

It was just fire . . . Bill Self was just showing his fire, and strong desire for the referee's to live up to ku's strident standards.

Seriously, that was a great move by Self, showing how he is willing to stand up for his team.

What a humble man.

It is hard to hate Bill Self.  I just love him.  Such a great guy.  Does everything the right way.  Class act.  Doesn't know any swear words.   :jerkoff:

IMO Self gets a pass (or at least half a pass) b/c he does such a great job in those Salty Iguana commercials.

Doesn't end with him...Those players that wear "Kansas" across their jersey are fine upstanding young men who are not lazy, never miss class, would never have a run in with the law, are to intelligent civilized to play "street ball" (as we and other programs are known for), cheating is not in their repertoir -- wouldn't know how to cheat it's such a foreign concept, especially with regard to mathematics and differential equations.

actually Bill Self strikes me as a "pretty nice guy." for example you move into his neighborhood and he greats you by bringing over Salty Iguana take-out on move in day, so you wife doesn't have to slave in the kitchen on the same day. He always waves hi when you are out to get your newspapers or you are both out doing yard work. He'll even offer to help hold the lawn bag while you scoop the leaves into it. All the while he hates you cat/dog but you have no idea. So, one day you go to juniors piano recital and while you are gone buster, your dog, goes out the doggy door to do his business. Bill notices and decides to feed 'ol buster some "special" hamburger, and you and family come home to find buster has moved on to the big dog kennel in the sky. Then, Bill being the nice guy he is even offers to help you w/ buster final resting arrangements.

He said he was "melting down" about Karl Petterssen's firing today, which makes me think he reads this board, but not enough to know what a "meltdown" is.

I was sitting four rows up from the court, and the officiating was horrible.  It's been horrible all season long.  I don't blame Self at all for exploding like that.  The reason people are talking about it is because it's such a rare occasion.

Even K-State fans have complained about Martin's consistent use of obscene language and his overall demeanor on the sidelines.  Kietz was just talking about it last week.  To act like only ku fans are the ones who have noticed Frank's antics is a stretch at best.

Now that's how you get out a f***ing blood stain.
officials have been awesome to the cats this year keeping them in the kentucky, iowa and oregon games single handedly while costing ku it's only two losses.  let's hope the blacks and whites keep it up!
When I was a kid growing up in the projects, I used to dream of going into space, of escaping the slums, of killing an Ewok!

To act like your coach becoming a complete maniac just because the officiating wasn't good BOTH WAYS is just fine, and then to sit back and point fingers at Frank Martin . . . that's a complete LOLer's.

But typical of most ku douchebags.

Pure Karma watching Self completely meltdown last Saturday after reading all the BS from the phogtards and kusportstards about Frank.

The difference is that Frank gets after his players when they are playing like crap and losing.  When ku is playing like crap and losing Billy gets after the refs.  Maybe if he spent all that time he was yelling at the refs to coach his players ku would have won.

In all fairness, ku wouldn't ever lose a game if the officials didn't screw them over because they obviously love the opponent more.  So, Bill has a good reason to be mad.

'Pad... you are delusional beyond belief.  I simply pointed out that even your own fans have voiced complaints about Martin.  If you want karma, look no further than National Championship, Orange Bowl, 52-21, etc, etc.

Agreed, UMass got screwed all game long.  They'd have put the squawks down by 20 if it had been called even-up.   :'byecruelworld:

Ben's version of "The Mourning After".

I'm absolutely certain that the offical(s) caused the 21-62 (33.9%) FG shooting.  I'm certain the officials were atrocious because they called so many more fouls on ku. (17 for each team).
It was the officiating that caused ku to fall behind by 14 early, forcing them into catch up mode.

You may as well have been watching the game from Mars.
