I personally kind of like seeing the fire in Coach Self. Maybe he's overdueing it on purpose to fire up the team.

I agree with this. Also IMO, when the refs know that they blew a call or in this case didn't make a call, alot of times they don't " T " a coach up.

I like the fact that Self still has fire in his belly.
My wife made the comment today about him b!tch!ng and moaning about anything and everything lately. It tells me that in spite of winning it all last year that he's not going to rest until he wins another one. I love it myself.

The '05 ku team started out 3-4.  This team is going to have some games like this.  Pretty standard for a team that's got 7 newcomers and lost all five starters from the '08 Nat'l Champ team.  Definitely a poor performance today.

You realize you're starting 4 top 100 players, 2 of which were McDAA's, right?  You have like 8 or 9 top 100 recruits on the roster.

What a garbage coaching job.

You realize you're calling a coach "garbage" that just won the f*cking 2008 National Championship?  Self has a higher winning percentage than Roy Williams at this point in his ku career.  ku returns zero starters from last season, has zero seniors on scholarship, and is starting two freshman, two sophomores, and a junior.  For someone who likes to act like he knows about the sport, you sure are clueless, Rusty.

Won't happen.  Charles Manson would have walked free in Douglas county if he could stick the J.

Frank Martin vs. Bill Self is 1-1

So, with your logic presented here Frank Martin = Bill Self

Not even close.  All things equal between Self and Calipari, I'll take the coach with the Nat'l Championship ring.  All things equal with Self and Roy, I'll take the coach who won the head-to-head matchup by 18 points.  Self also pwned Roy when he was with Illinois.  Self also has a higher winning percentage at ku than Roy.

ku missed 18 of 31 free throws in the Nat'l Championship against Syracuse.  Works both ways.

Guys, guys. Let's not argue about this. Am I a great coach? &@#% yeah I am! All you haters just reinforce that.

I also want to let you guys know that Xavier Henry is in fact coming to ku. the whole going to Memphis thing is just an eloborate PUNK'D kutcher and I have orchestrated to totally own Calipari, again. LOLOLOLOL

No, please elaborate on how seff being an embarassment to the state of Kansas contributed to that team missing all those free throws.

What's ironic is that Frank Martin might be the most insane, out of control, foul-mouthed coach I've ever seen.

I watch plenty of basketball, and Frank Martin is one of the worst when it comes to his sideline demeanor.  Even K-State fans have voiced their complaints.

Why am I not surprised?  It took a lot of K-State fans three years to realize that Prince was in over his head.
