and LOL at ku and mu for moving their rivalry game played in Late November to Arrowhead.

As a comparison, the Pittsburgh Steelers a notoriously "thrifty" NFL franchise had the entirety of the Heinz Field Turf replaced in time for the Pitt-WVU game (in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Sports and Events Authority), thus ensuring a good playing surface for both that football game and of course their own Steelers.

The KC Cheaps . . . a nice little stripe going down the middle of the field of fresh grass between the hash marks but the rest is a quagmire.

The Cheaps will also ensure that KC won't have the Big 12 CCG after this last go around with no dome, and a crap grass field.

Is it any wonder why the Cheaps are 10's of millions under the salary cap.

Lamest nick ever dude.  And why are you hatin, apparently they're KSU fans.  Clearly an attempt to injure as many miz and uk players as possible.  I appreciated the  :kstatriot:  effort.

you assume that a feshly laid turf would be a better surface, but that may not be the case.  If the sod can't take root, which it won't in this weather, it's worse that established turf.

I hated the TWA dome in St. Louis.

Arrowhead needs field turf.  I have no idea why they haven't switched yet.

New Turf for the Pitt-WVU game was in excellent condition.

I'm sure the ground crew would like to send along a big F YOU!  I'm not a fan of natural grass either but it does keep people employed.

Really should have relocated the Royals downtown and moved the Chiefs to a non-crapty area with lodging and food and stuff.  Turn the sports complex into hobo-town or something.  Nah, instead let's polish a turd, super.

natural grass is the only way to play. the smell of grass, the stains on the jerseys...dirt in the face. i could care less about job employment.

the fake crap, with pieces of rubber that fly up, the sometimes shiny look...just doesnt do it for me.

Dax, while I agree it was pretty cheap to do that....

You're way, way off-base in comparing Heinz Field as the "gold standard"

Hyperbole Dax, I forgot you were so literal.....you should have know my point.  You were talking about how much better the Stillers were at replacing the turf than the Chiefs.

My point, Heinz Field is infamous for having bad turf to play on year-in and year-out due to the weather, the course of the season of games on both days, cheapness, etc.  There is a reason why the longest made field goal ever at Heinz is 50 yards (and done once) IIRC.

IF there is one stadium that could use the fake stuff, it's Heinz.

Regardless . . . They replaced all the turf at Heinz Field and had outstanding playing conditions for the Pitt-WVU game, the cheaps, just did the middle of the field and left the rest as a total quagmire.

In this one specific example.  OK. Fine.

But overall picture. Quality and Upkeep of Arrowhead Turf >>>>Heinz Field

Heinz Field gets vastly more usage than Arrowhead.  The Steelers, all Pitt Home games, and the Penn. State High School playoffs.  Arrowhead . . .  the Cheaps, and 1-3 College Football games every year.    Again, late season, Heinz Field, totally resodded excellent playing conditions for the Pitt-WVU game . . . Arrowhead . . . excellent playing conditions if the ball stayed between the hash marks.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
It's practically impossible to grow quality grass in this part of the country due to weather.  It's much easier in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh doesn't get the extreme summer heat that this region gets.

the Cheaps

JFC you're a persistent ignoramus aren't you.

Don't get all pissed off at me that your favorite NFL team is a complete joke . . .  that's what??  $35 million under the salary cap??

Again, one NFL team resods their entire field making for an excellent playing surface despite rain and cold temperatures.  Another NFL team, who begs for college games at their stadium, provides an excellent playing surface between the hashmarks.

This isn't that hard.

Widely known as the best grounds crew in the NFL.  But hey, don't let facts get in the way or your retarded rants about things you watch on television.  But hey, you saw it on tv right?  Guess it's hard to obtain any sort of general knowledge of the world when you're hanging from uk's nuts.  Tunnel vision I guess.

I couldn't care less about how the grounds crew for the KC Cheaps, one of the worst franchises in the NFL is regarded.  Reality is reality . . . the organization that begs for college games in their stadium (and based on how their staffed does them on a budget that would make Ebenezer Scrooge cringe) provides a sub standard playing surface.  I am sure the grounds crew themselves did the best they could, but they report to a cheap ass management team.

You're basing this on what?  That players were slipping on a field?  I guess the massive amounts of precipitation had nothing to do with it.  I'm sure you can roll out their budget to prove your little theory right?

Keep rambling on, I'm sure someone will think you're important, until they reach puberty at least.

I had no idea Chefs fans were so sensitive . . . how in the world can you let such an inept, no desire to win anything organization as the KC Chefs make you so defensive and hyper sensitive??

Again, the reality was the reality.  Heinz field was completely re-sodded from endzone to endzone, sideline to sideline . . . the Chefs, who beg for college games, provided a great playing track between the hashmarks.
