I think you will love conversations with Michigan people.  Very good conversationalists/complainers/sports fans in general.  Only problem is they watch tons of pro sports/boxing.  If you can get in to boxing and mix in some NBA, you should be fine.

ksu is far an away my favorite team but for NFL im a longtime cowboys fan, for MLB im a dodger fan (live close enough to walk to games plus vin scully is the best). NBA im a lakers fan mainly due to kobe but i like where their team is at now too.
