yeah snyder led the greatest turnaround in college football history because we magically had super talented teams that made up for his sucky coaching

yes.  maybe not sucky coaching, but he had super talented teams when he won at levels that no one (or relatively few) in the country did.  a lot of teams win 7-9 games, not too many win 11 games for as many years as Bill did, but it wasn't because he was "coaching up" Mark Simoneau.

 :jerkoff:

Seriously, you and Rusty are the two most illiterate posters when it comes to football.

If Simoneau was so good, who else was recruiting him?

that's the point you f'ing jack ass................WHO THE F*CK DID BILL GET TO REPLACE THE GUYS WHO FOUND SIMONEAU?

I don't know.. Phil Bennett?

Stop being a moron.

stoops/leavitt>m.Stoops>bennett>elliott
mangino>dunn>stanley
venables>gush<beilma>cosh

...see the trend?  I'm fine with bill if he can identify the next stoops, venables, mangino and get them on staff.  I just don't think he can/will.
Because...??

Yeah, he only went to Pitt and helped their defense become one of the best in the Big East.. I mean, yeah, the man is incredibly bad.. like Dan McCarney at Florida.

Yeah, with two games left and an obvious bowl game.  No, Bennett doesn't help at all.

Yes, we should look for those defensive numbers to improve dramatically after playing Noel Devine and Pat White.

Wrong again.  The last two years is all you're focusing on, but he did win a conference championship without Venables, Stoops, and Mangino.. and did it against those guys.

His last two years, not so well, but you haven't indicated that he isn't able to see his mistakes and improve on his own coaching ability.

JFC MJ are you that f*cking stupid?  How do you think the last 2 years came about?  It's because of the collection of coaches (which had gotten worse and worse over time) couldn't sustain the level of recruiting that it once did.  It's not like Dylan Meier was a true freshman in '04.  You have to be the dumbest MF'er ever if you want to say that recruiting at KSU got better from '98 moving forward.

He didn't begin to identify it until it hit him (and the whole program) until it hit him smack in the face.  Maybe he "learned his lesson", until then, I don't think he can do it.  I HOPE I'm wrong.

No one is questioning that.   However, you seem to forget the previous 15 years as if they were irrelevant.  Seriously, you can't be this horrendously stupid.

Oh yeah, it's not like we weren't north Champions or won a conference title after 1998.

GMAFB.

 :jerkoff:
No, you're a complete idiot.  You pick a year and decide the recruiting got worse from 1998?  Seriously, STFU.  You have no idea what you're talking about since you can't really figure out what your point is.

If no one is questioning how the last two years came about, then you get my point.  Recruiting got worse, I think it started when those guys left in '98, and slowly but surely fell with each changing of assistants.  I've pointed out, as examples, the changes that got worse since about '98.  And the last staff, which was basically around since '02 had some terrible recruiting in terms of guys showing up and guys actually performing.  JFC, I didn't think you'd go Bill O'Reilly.

So, Tibs> Bennet?

No one is ecstatic about the hire, its a weird situation.  Its done and no real point of b*tching like 9 yr olds about it.  There is no way in hell you can say that if Snydes comes in with Long/Bennet as his coordinators that ksu wont be infinitely better coached than the past 2 years.

Interesting what he says at the top of the story.  So, to all the brilliant posters on this board, why would he state this?

I don't think anyone will be scared of Bill coming back but will respect him and his coaching. And anyone that don't think BS and his staff coached up and developed players don't know a lot about coaching or football in my opinion.
