do the Chiefs trade or select? Let's start it now.

They refused to trade TG...poor guy...so they obvious don't care.

Detroit, Cincy, and 3/4 of the NFC West could still get the 1/1 pick.

Detroit may not win.  I'm not counting on #1.

There's a new sheriff in town.
And they should have unloaded LJ when he had some value. Now he's just a cancer.

Okay.

Top 5 pick.

What position to take? O-line?

I would want crabtree if he comes out (hes a red-shirt soph correct?), they could maybe trade down a couple picks and still get him.  Then try to sign a somewhat vet QB like they finally tried with Culpepper or maybe a Leftwich or the Cards did with Warner.  Then draft some decent potential at QB in the 3rd or 4th round.  +Get sproles, maybe I'm a bit biased though.

Tough call.  In the NFL the linemen are more important than the skill position players(minus the quarterback.)  We really need a quarterback but there's not a lot to choose from in this draft.  If you can get two good linemen out of a trade then I'd say hell yes pull the trigger.  I also think they need to shop Larry Johnson and Tony G around again after the season to see if anyone will give us 4th round or above for them.

Getting a great defensive line is going to make the linebackers/corners/safeties look like all stars, because they'll be reaping the benefits of a good pass rush and running backs are going to have to work a lot harder for their yards.  Likewise a good offensive line will make a quarterback/receivers/rb look like all stars because the holes will be bigger, the qb will have lots of time to make decisions, which results in better throws for the receivers to act on.

Just get linemen unless there's an amazing quarterback available..

    Sniff Sniff. . . I smell Heisman.
I really don't know/care. I'll have more of an idea once I see who comes out, you know?

Seems like the chiefs may have found a QB.  Need a DE, WR, couple young QB's in the late rounds/free agency, LB, Safety, RB.  Probably need to wait and see what Thigpen does, if he continues to play well I'd go for a DE and then a LB or WR.  The pass rush is horrible.
