True . . . but at Clemson he would have to have nearly instant success, they've completely run out of patience over there, they don't want an ACC contender, it's not hard to "contend" in the ACC, they want ACC dominance, they want National Titles.  Then after they demand ACC titles and more they demand that you beat the hell out of South Carolina every year.

Washington . . . Patterson just isn't their kind of guy.  He's just not.

LOL.  Clemson is in the middle of nowhere, and UW will not be a Pac 10 contender any time soon w/ Tedford and Belotti and Carrol in the conference.  The Big 12N is ridiculously weak.  Heck, I could coach any team in the north to a division title in 2-3 years.

Yeah, UW's conference success is much more impressive than KSU's.

 

The North is a road apple waiting for someone to squish it.  Might be the easiest divisions in all of BCS football.
