Let's see...Clemson's pros
Clemson's last four recruiting classes ranged from 12-17.....KSU's roster is an unmitigated mess [Freeman being the exception]
Clemson plays in a less challenging BCS conference than KSU....yet gets more media coverage due to location.
Clemson has a stadium of 84,000 which has been sold out for years and football facilities commensurate with that.
Clemson is surrounded by millions of people, approximately 50% African American....top quality HS football.
Clemson is scenically located in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains, yet less than two hours from gorgeous beaches.
South Carolina is golf heaven....almost year round.
Clemson could offer whatever it would take.

KSU pros
GP is a KSU alum.

Sounds like a tough decision.

Actually it isn't a tough decision when you consider that, when it comes to the KSU job, there IS NO KSU job!

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Quit delaying and just take Ronald already.  Mangino too while you're at it.

Do you have a press release to share?

Nope.

Just patiently waiting for our joke of a coaching staff to dig their own graves over the course of the rest of the season, so a real staff can come in and begin the rebuilding process.

Meanwhile, you can "keep playing peaceful music in the band that sinks with the Titanic."

Remember when you got all upset about people calling for Wooly's head?

This will end the same.  Might as well accept it and avoid the meltdown this go round.

Too late.  Mangino has already announced he is not considering the job.

Clemson:

123 miles from Downtown Atlanta

131 miles from Columbia South Carolina

132 miles from Charlotte, North Carolina

4 hours from Charleston, SC

All great weekend destinations for College kids.  Plus Athens is just down the road as well.

On the shores of Lake Hartwell, with 2 other beautiful lakes within an hour.

"In the middle of Nowhere" doesn't have the same meaning when the Carolina's has 15 million people, and you're 2 hours from 2 metroplexes; 1 with 5.5 million people, and the other with 1.8 million people.

Hell Greenville, SC is 30 minutes from Clemson, and that's a cool smaller city as well.

How are you able to simultaneously type and pleasure yourself to a map of South Carolina?

    ANGRY AS F*CK
Had business in Greenville a couple years ago and ended up at Clemson one evening.  Lots of amazing females there.  KSU's best looking women are janitors at Clemson.

South Carolina is a dump.

Yeah, downtown Charleston is a "real dump".

Why go to Charleston when there's Topeka.

The Primary point is . . . if this season continues as it has to date, schools like Clemson in high school football hotbeds, that are close to huge population centers and located in states much more densely populated than Kansas and have certain geographical appeal (to many people) that no where in Kansas can emulate (not to mention 80,000 plus people in the stands on Saturday) are going to be gunning for the coaches we covet on this board.

And don't bother, I'll call this one on myself:

That's what friends and family who drive out here think, when they say they'll take the "back roads" instead of the Interstate.  They look at a map of the Carolina's and think "rural" areas are like rural areas in Kansas and the Midwest, with miles between stop lights and towns when in reality there's all kinds of little burgs and townships along those "back roads".

The County that Clemson is in has 180,000 people, that's equal to the 4th largest county in Kansas (and 3x's the size of Riley County), it sits on the border of Pickens County which has a population of 110,000.

Just sayin . . . rural or isolated here, is not the same as rural and isolated in the Midwest.

Agreed, that's worth at least a million in potential new coaches salary right there.

A person could really take this several different ways. Gay route, small penis route, mascot route, etc.  Anyway you slice it, I honestly did LOL for quite a while.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
Clemson has better local population to recruit from, but they also have a lot more competition.

Still, Tommy's recruiting, especially his last class, has been pretty good.
