even met with a New Zealander who recruits people to move to New Zealand and do what I do about a year ago.

If you are fairly young and have a college degree, New Zealand will let you in. Especially people w/ specialties like teachers.

what do you do?  does the guy recruit people that do other things?  how young?  i'm looking for new country.

I'm in healthcare but they will let most people in if you are somewhat young (under 40?) and have a college degree. What they don't want are unskilled workers or older people who are just going to be retiring and milking the system. You have to have a certain number of points to qualify and there are online places which pretty much give you a good idea of how many you have. Also, the govt has a list of areas of need and if you're in one of those then they make it really easy (fast track you).

If one candidate wins in November the worst will be over; if the other wins much worse lies ahead.  But in a democratic nation we get the government we deserve.   :flush:

It's over bro, the sooner you let it go the easier it will be.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: there's plenty of $$$ to be made no matter who wins but I'd rather invest in positives than bet on negatives.  Otherwise it's mostly irrelevant who's in office.

Would that be the same Nobel Foundation that, during the 1930s, presented numerous awards to the movers and shakers at the League of Nations for their efforts aimed towards global peace ... and which was subsequently unable to make awards during the early 1940s because, y'know, Stockholm was occupied by the Nazis?  And the same organization which, having learned little from the 1930s gave the 1945 Peace Prize to Cordell Hull (rather than Harry S Truman whose courageous decisions to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki did far more for global peace than the LON or UN every did or will).  That one?

Sure: 1) a bunch of lefty university eggheads and various assorted far lefty others primarily from Scandinavian countries are sent nomination forms; 2) upon return of the nomination forms to the Economics Prize Committee, every form nominating any centrist, right-of-center, or only moderately left-of-center person is burned; 3) from the remaining forms The Royal Swedish Academy of (lefty, egghead academic) Sciences chooses some left-wing goon who is presently recycling the failed ideas of Karl Marx.  Or at least that's how the Economics Price (which isn't actually a Nobel Prize BTW) is awarded.  :users:

the prize will enhance visibility, but I hope it does not lead me into going to a lot of purely celebratory events, aside from the Nobel presentation itself.

Krugman was asked about China's economic future. He said he did not have an answer. "I've spent the last few years trying to save my own damn republic," Krugman said.

does anybody else see right through these comments?
