Seriously, your hangup with the facilities is meaningless and isn't the issue with people who understand how this works.  KSU's slide has nothing to do with money spent on facilities.  You're only shining example is Texas, but you fail to take into consideration other factors.  I'll let you figure it out.  Then again, I'm sure you wont.

Who started the thread??  Texas isn't the only example ... did OU just spend $100 million on football faciliites, Iowa $100 million, Michigan is set to spend over $200 million, Minn. over $250 million, Wisconsion over $100 million ... there's $1.6 BILLION dollars worth of facilities on the drawing board, or just completed in the Big 12 ... KSU is 1.25% of that number, two straight last place finishes ... apparently all the people that run those other schools are complete idiots.

I didn't lose anything.   You haven't shown jack diddly squat period.  You seem to forget that the State of Texas has emphasized high school football and development of talent far ahead of most states.   It has little to do with the facilities UT has built and more towards the Texas high schools creating more emphasis on developing players.    You only see what you want to see, and not the big picture.  It's not about facilities, it's about getting kids to come play for you.

What are Bob Stoops and Joe Castiglione thinking??  Why has Florida State spent $120 million on football facilities in the last decade ... don't they realize they're in Florida and that's all that matters??

Schools spend money on facilities to provide the best environment for athletic development with new techniques and equipment to help train the athletes better.  I think it's great that schools do that and show interest in trying to develop athletes with the best available.  That's always a good thing.  The problem is, the best facilities do not replace things such as coaching and educational opportunities.  Facilities are not the sole or even MAIN reason a kid goes to a school, but in your world they are.  But for you, the answer is always spend money on the facilities, and that will bring the kids and championships.   Uh huh.
