According to ku police reports, the fight involved as many as 100 people.
“We’re pretty sure an incident occurred,” said Capt. Schuyler Bailey, ku Public Safety Officer
“We will handle any discipline regarding this incident internally, and we will have no further comment about it.” Perkins

Dumb move by Nebraska.  Why play a WAC team like that?  I'd rather play Miami, UCLA, Oregon, and Virginia Tech.

Pelini will be D-coordinator at a Big 10 school when the 1st game in that series is played.
Welcome back, Bill.

We play Virginia Tech in two weeks. North Texas was already booked by a Kansas team..  :nahnah:

Be careful when you play Fresno State.  They are all THUGS and all they do is TRY TO HURT PEOPLE.  I'd rather lose to those THUGS than stoop to their level.  Be ready to have extra INJUIRIES that game because the only way they can win is to be super MEAN to the other team.   :'(

Agree. Losing to Fresno St. is like  :curse:

Losing to UCLA, Miami, etc. is like  :dunno:

Beating FSU is like: "We should have beat them anyways"
Beating UCLA, Miami, etc. is like another quality notch on the ol' belt.

LOL..
Quote
Out of the WAC conference, Fresno State has become known for going toe-to-toe with the giants, having put a scare into USC during the Reggie Bush years and defeating 13 BCS-conference teams this decade.

Ranked 21st in the AP poll, the Bulldogs already have won at Rutgers this year and play Wisconsin this week.

They were scheduled to play Kansas State this season, too, but after wins against the Wildcats in 2004 and 2007, KSU dropped the game from its schedule.

I don't get it... Unless they are ranked highly you get nothing for playing a series with these guys. They are talented enough to upset yet no one will care really if you beat them unless they are highly ranked. If you want competition or want to bring in bigger programs you need to go out and get schools like what K-State will be doing in upcoming seasons.

I'd set the order restoration over/under at 4 in that time frame (not counting current order restoration phase)

i really hope prince is successful and we can keep him around, because getting a new coach every 3 years and saying "this time is different, we really are going to be good" every time would be like the most embarrassing thing ever

nebraska football since osborne has been the funniest joke ever. and they keep telling it. and it never gets old

Things won't be back to normal until you guys call yourselves the blackshirts again... Which probably won't happen for awhile...

FWIW, IMHO the Nubb posters are generally WAY more fun around here than the uk posters.

Agree.  Fans of teams which account for what, like 7 North titles?  Should have fun talking football with each other.

Clearly NU has struggled during that time, and yet we are still 5-5 against the Cats and have won 3 straight.

They got the Co-Champs label. Didn't hear much celebrating about it form them. Maybe because most schools don't think it's a big deal. Others on the other hand.....

North Co-Champions: Kansas State (1999), Nebraska (2001), Iowa State (2004), Kansas (2007)
South Co-Champions: Texas (2002)
