Did any of you ever want to do this while growing up?? I think it would be pretty cool job, get to travel the country to watch sports.

if by "growing up" you mean "while i was at k-state" then yes.  that's until i realized it wasn't nearly as cool (to me) as it seemed to be.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Really. What made it not as cool. I'm just curious, it might be something I would consider doing.

well, at the time i was at k-state that dept was run by a bunch of rejects.  also- you've got to be a way bigger sports nerd than i ever could be, just like every stat imaginable and crap.  i'm not into that stuff, i just like sports.

i can't imagine working around some of those dudes everyday.  seemed like they talked about sports because they couldn't play them, i dunno bro.  i encourage you to get up there and check it out, spend some time on ksdb and learn about broadcasting, it might be your thing.  it was fun, just not for me.

    ANGRY AS F*CK
As a former TV Newsey, I can advise everyone to stay away.  Hours suck, pay sucks, and it's not nearly as exciting "rubbing shoulders" with celebs/important people after the first few times.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
I know a guy who does play-by-play somewhere in bum-f*ck Nebraska for a living and loves it.  If you love what you do, who cares about the hours and pay?

Just be prepared to pay your dues.
