The Olympics and the Chinese

Does anyone else, like, want the Chinese to win so they don't get their thumbs chopped off or something if they lose?

I was watching ladies gymnastics last night w/ Mrs. Rusty, and I was like "It's OK TO FALL AMERICA!  WE WILL LET YOU KEEP YOUR THUMBS NO MATTER WHAT!" and was kind of relieved that those little Chinese girls will be national heroes instead of slaves or something.

Yes, I find myself feeling some of these same things.  I was happy that the gymnastics coach did not have to "leap from the tallest building in Bejing" as he said he would have to if the men didn't win the gold.

I bet they let those little girls meet their parents for winning.

Did anybody else see the look on Costas' face when that one european commentator commented on how none of the girls were 16 and how the government had faked all the birth certificates? He looked like euro dude had just dropped the f-bomb.

Bela is very entertaining.  His wife is one of the coaches and she was talking about disappointing it is to get the Silver.  If she were an American she would probably realize that we don't care that much, and that it's nice the 12 year old Chinese girls haven't been sent away to hand paint toys with lead paint for $2 a week.

Just a guess, but I think as girls get older their bodies change shape and become less flexible.  This is all speculation and what I remember from 7th grade sex ed.

Interesting side note, maybe, my cousin studied under Bela a few years back, says he speaks perfect english when he wants, so his tv accent is a fake.   Also, he's one huge ass to the kids.

I keep a ranking of my favorite countries (from 1 to 195!) and I update it daily to reflect my mood and stance on world politics and whatnot. Like yesterday I was feeling crazy (I ate a breakfast hot pocket!) and bumped Papua New Guinea up 57 spots just cuz lol! Anyway, these Olympic shenannigans have moved China down to last place. Boo China! Plus they consistently produce ugly Asian chicks, unlike their sister school Japan which is constantly breeding hotties like it's going out of style!

While watching the opening ceremonies I told my wife and childrens that that the Chinse government had people in the stands studying every move . . . if anybody down on the floor made a mistake they would be beheaded immediately following the end of the ceremonies if not sooner.
