Well, after a long weekend in NYC, I can say that it was one of the best trips I have ever taken.
Highlights:
Well the flight to NYC was less than spectacular. It left late for whatever reason, and then with the storms at LaGuardia we had to basically fly around in circles for 30 minutes and then land in Newburgh, NY to refuel. So that bascially ruined any plans I had for Thursday afternoon/night.
Started Friday bright and early and went to the Sports Museum of America (just opened in the spring) pretty cool stuff, def. recommend. You can touch the Heisman and stuff. Went to Ground Zero Museum/"Workshop", it is basically a self guided tour. They have pictures of all sorts of things from 9-11 and you hit the number on the picture on the remote and you listen to the guy talk. Then we walked around Time Square. I bought this CD from some random rapper for 3 dollars and went to the ESPNZONE for like 2 hours and killed time. From there we went onto Phantom of the Opera, it was pretty cool.
Saturday we started out pretty early to go to they Yankees vs. Royals game. Got a couple of auto's and talked to a few of the players. Yankee Stadium is pretty much what I expected, a lot of history there. Enjoyed the game, although the Royals lost in 13 innings it was cool, and we got our monies worth. Went to the Top of the Rock, it really is a different perspective of things when you are up that high. We went at night so we say all the lights and whatnot.
The flight back was good, flew on Frontier (great airline). I was so tired I just slept on the plane all the way back. Annoying jap kept kicking my seat. So I just reclined even more.
As for the airports, DIA is just phenomenal. Plain and simple the nicest airport I've been to. LaGuardia is a total dump, I hear JFK is even worse. Dunkin Donuts are slowly taking over the east coast.
I'm probably leaving out something, if you have any questions say the word.
