disk golf RULES! I've been playing for over 4 years now and I think I've played every course in Kansas City. The Manhattan area sucks when it comes to good courses, however Topeka has a hand full of good ones and I think so does Salina (never played either)

The Centennial park one in Lawrence is the best I've ever played. Used to play it all the time. Shot 2 under once and also got a hole in one once on that course.

Olathe location is not close to as good as the original.  The original has discs as well and a course a few hundred yards down the street.  :lolrun:

Ultimate frisbee is the ONLY frisbee game any self-respecting man would play, frisbee golf, are you kidding me?  Golf, w/ golf clubs is a great game though.   :nahnah:

basically it's golf w/ frisbees.  same scoring method.  there is a disc for basically every club, or situation rather, from distance discs to putters.  you throw at baskets or landmarks.

There's a "course" through campus.

Salina's course is ok.  It's not bad but not great either.

I enjoy playing the campus course in Manhattan.

In Wichita, it's generally considered an activity that the homosexual communinty congregates around.  All the parks that have courses are generally referred to as "gay" parks.  ...not that there's anything wrong with that.

My friend and I once played with some rando ku grad students we found in Shawnee Mission Park (good course btw) and they said that one time they were playing a course in Lawrence. One of the guys lost his disc in the tall grass and a naked man popped up and threw it back to them (so one can infer that there was another man in that grass somewhere). Thats what they told me. I am not making this up.

I love to play disc golf. I've been playing for close to three years now but I still suck. Water Works park in KC is really nice (but tough) and Rosdale Park in KC is really tough (at least ive found it to be). I usually play Prarie Center in Olathe just because its the closest though. Centennial Park in Lawrence is nice too, not too hard and fun. Tuttle Creek is meh and the campus course is a bitch to play when there are people around, which is almost always the case.

where is the original Oklahoma Joe's? I want to check the place out...

I think that stems from people wanting food from places that don't look that nice to be redic. good.  Kinda like food purchased from stands/carts always has a reputation for being much better than it actually is.  Also, people are retards.

Agreed. Also, Oklahoma Joes is like everybody's secret little place with great BBQ. It's in a gas station ya know. The only problem is that everyone has heard of it.
