Pena is playing exactly the roll he is suited for.... backup-late inning defensive replacement.  Aviles is barely a dropoff on defense and a huge step up on offense. 

Butler is just fine working on his swing in Omaha as long as the Royals are playing so well.

dude we have to get our contact hitting at the shortstop spot because the royals dont have david ortiz who can step up to the plate and hit a grand slam consistently throughout the year Jose is going to slump sometime

I think it'll be following the All-Star break. Of course, an injury by any of the Royals' regulars could affect that.
