    Hey, basketball!!!
This is what he had to say about the football program:

Quote
1. Ron Prince is exactly where he said he would be in two years, he had a plan before he came and he has followed the schemes and players he has wanted in the recruiting area.
2. Olu Hall is a big name to watch out for next year, he is one of the kinds of players that will kick your ass if you step into his area.
3. He truly belives that football will be a big surprise to everyone next year, he thinks we will be a lot better then last year.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

He also apparently planned to load the roster with so many juco players in his 3rd year that he'll be forced to overload on them for the next 3-4 years as well in order to have any chance of fielding competitive teams.  Smells like BS to me.   If not the folks who interviewed RP and reviewed his plan should be run out of town on a rail, FSnyder included.

He may be drinking the Ron Prince Kool-Aid but . . .

BK . .  Wants to build a $35 million dollar addition on to the pressbox.

TW . . Wanted a limestone wall around the field using donated materials and wanted to build OPEN AIR loge boxes at the football stadium and try to foist them on people waiting for a suite.

He's been drinkin the Kool-Aid. I don't think you can get much better based on our standards from last year... losing to ku... losing to isu... getting humiliated by nu... losing 4 in a row to end the season without a bowl...

BUT F*CK, WE BEAT TEXAS!

I don't buy the bs.  :blank:

The irony here is that somehow if Ron would have lost to Texas, but beat ku people would somehow be happy.

It's all a PR Game.

Look, Timid Timmy supposedly got all whacked out about giving Prince an extension.   The only reason to get whacked out is if K-State agrees to a stupid buy out if they want to fire him.  Look at the contracts they give Martin and Hill, they have a sliding scale buyout which gets smaller every year into the contract.   They'll likely do the same with Prince  . . . plus what do you want Krause to say, "I think Ron sucks",  that's a strong endorsement from the new AD, not.

If things continue to be crappy for K-State football (and I give it 50% probability that it will continue), and if BK is still saying the same thing 2 years from now, then I'll be right there with you.  But I feel pretty comfortable in saying I doubt that will be the case.

But there's absolutely NO reason to get whacked out by anything Krause says now, and no reason to get nutty about the possibility that Prince gets a new contract UNLESS it has a stupid buyout agreement.

You should have been at the nut fry, dude was talking like we are going to take a bigger step up in everything. Facilities, coaching staff, the whole deal.

I know what you mean, but what do you want him to say at a Catbacker event?

True. But it is an upgrade over an AD saying we need more money to compete or we will fall into oblivion.

I want an AD who says that K-State doesn't have the best anything; that's just not who K-State is.

Or like the last AD who ran around telling everyone how at k-state you can't do this, you can't do that etc. etc.

Timid Timmy was just a passing ship in the night, who only cared about one person, and that was himself.

He didn't suck at everything, he was smart enough to listen to his advisers and hired Bob Huggins . . . but failed completely in understanding Huggins' ego.

Smart enough to see a bad radio deal and get K-State out of it and into one that actually pays real money.

He did some other good stuff.

But you'll never convince me he was fully invested in K-State, and it showed.

Very true. One defensive stop against ku, OSU or Auburn (or one TE who doesn't fumble the game away in Stillwater) and suddenly there's still "Ron Prince to Michigan" to rumors.

I don't know what the &@#% happened at ISU.

I think BK saw what happened when Snyder took over. We dumped what seemed like huge money into the program, had a great architect as a coach, and we went from worst to first (if only for a short time  ). If RP isn't our architect, the facilities should be there for him or the next guy who wants a crack at it. Tim used to piss me off to no end when it came to this. Our stadium looks like butt and needs a little freakin' Chotchky's flare goddammit!
