i know, right?  he's basically telling a whole AAU organization and a guy who has alot of pull in the south florida hoops scene "frack you".  who does that?

if he can't count on the tropics, he has no chance to recruit to that school.  none.

What an effed up situation.

There's no way this gets cleared up in a week.  And if Asprilla goes to a JUCO, I give the probability of him ever playing at K-State at like 1%.

Jmart said he thought that it was a strong possibility he'd go Juco/not play and then come here.

go Juco/not play

Where is the benefit in this?  I mean, would the juco even give him a scholly to ride pine for one season?  Why not just come to KSU and get paid hush money under the table to go to classes for a year or just sleep on Jakes couch like everyone else?  I'm pretty lbbiq but I would guess if he does attend a juco he is on scholly and has to play...unless Art promises the juco some of his crappy players down the road which would make him a true kstatriot (assuming we land him).

JUCOs are ridic. cheap.  No need for a scholly.

Why not just hang out in Colombia though?  I mean, if he's not going to play anyway.  I just think his juco enrollment is a last ditch effort to get FIU to release him.

diff situ., though.

he signed w. them intending to play, then they were put on probation and he decided to redshirt.  and his coach was pretty pissed about it.

Tony Mitchell – Georgetown head coach John Thompson, III was at every game Mitchell played in Las Vegas and quietly sat on the sidelines with a smile on his face. Maybe the Hoyas are in their deeper than the public realizes. Kansas State wants to reclaim a commitment from the Grand Prairie, Texas native. I like GU for this one.

I still think we are #1 in Tony's heart.  Justin failed to mention our entire staff was also there right by the court watching Tony play (sans smile) and that Tony's BFF is our manager AND that Tony's FB friends list is a "who's who of EMAW".

Kentari Nettles of Mac Irvin Fire has reopened his recruitment after previously being verbally committed to South Alabama. The 6-9 post player saw his stock rise throughout the summer and now has offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Boston College, Central Michigan, East Tennessee State, Murray State, Kansas State, Louisville, Missouri, Nebraska, Purdue, Seton Hall, Southern Illinois, Utah, West Virginia, LSU, Mississippi State, Rutgers, and Memphis. Nettles also told us that he will be attending school this year at Quality Education Academy in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. There he will team up with national top 5 player, Quincy Miller of the class of 2011. Last season Nettles played with McDonald’s All-American DeMarcus Cousins at Leflore in Alabama.

Frank Williams has picked up offers from Arkansas and BC since the summer.  I'd say we can still get him if we want him but I dunno if Frank's gonna extend the offer.

Can't wait till we are chasing the Andre Gilberts of the world for a late pick up to fill our class while Frank Williams is suiting up in his Michigan State gear.

are you thinking of powell?  he'd have eliminated ksu anyways - pretty obvious from looking at his final schools.  the staff lost nothing by ending his recruitment before he ended it for them.

haven't seen anything on a marshall.  i'd have to think the staff is still recruiting a few guys - even if they feel like mitchell will qualify.  not a ton maybe, but a few.

yeah.  I meant powell.  Not sure on Marshall.  It was weird that there was no news on him in July.

In 2011 news Ryan Boatwright got added to our ESPN page in the last week.  they could either be slow, or he could still be considering KSU.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
